Renewal (update) of Thai I.D. card.

Featured Replies

My Thai girlfriend, whose home address is in Ubon Ratchathani, needs to renew her I.D. card.

Can anyone tell me what time Pattaya City Hall opens for such business?

Also, she tells me that years ago, she would have needed to return home to perform such an act --- surely this cannot be true, can it???

Yep that was/is true.

I know my Thai son in Bangkok has to go to vote in the province where his house is registered. As he is the housemaster of our Pattaya house he goes the Pattaya to vote.

Not sure if it has changed or not.

So if her ID card is from Kalasin province she has to go to Kalasin to renew it. I think that's correct.

Getting a replacement ID card has nothing to do with voting and can be done at any District office. Early voting can be done anywhere as well, but voting on election day must be done where one is registered, according to official address.

For Thai people ID card, passport and driving license can be done at every responsible office.

Some district offices even have service points at shopping malls.

Just found on the Pattaya PR facebook.

As usual in Pattaya, office crowded and handing queue numbers!
80 in the morning, 70 in the afternoon.

Queue tickets from 7 AM, office opens 8:30.

Except city hall, it should be possible at Banglamung district office?

If "Nongprue Town Municipality Office" (on the eastside) can also be used?
