I started taking Amoxicilin 3 days ago and feel much better, however at this time,  just before going to bed, it gets worse still and I wake up a couple or 3 times a night. Well 3 times 2 nights ago and 2 times last night.

Colds etc always get worse in the evening, maybe immune system is lower then. I've just started Amoxicillin as a preemptive strike for a chest infection following a cold, see if it stops it starting 

For God's sake be wary of 'Walking Pneumonia'.   

If you begin any having edema (swollen lower extremities), 

you may be on the edge of a 'Congestive Heart Failure'.  

Been there, done that.
