A cement mixer crash claimed one life and injured another on a mountain road in Mae Hong Son province. At approximately 09:30 on January 3, the 191 Emergency Call Centre in Mae Hong Son received a report of a 10-wheeler Nissan cement mixer, had veered off the road and plunged down a steep embankment.

The incident occurred on the mountain road between the Huai Ton Nun border checkpoint and the Thai-Myanmar border near Huai Ton Nun Village, Moo 4, Mae Ngao Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District.

Emergency responders and police from Pratu Mueang Police Station arrived at the scene to find the overturned truck. One fatality, a 19-year-old man identified as Mr. Depo who a passenger in the truck was discovered next to the vehicle, which had rolled over his body after he was thrown from the truck.

The truck’s driver, a 22-year-old man name unknown), sustained injuries and was trapped in the cab. Rescuers released him and transported him to Khun Yuam Hospital for medical treatment.

Police investigators and relevant authorities conducted an examination of the scene to determine the cause of the accident and proceed with legal procedures, as the investigation continues.

Well the good thing that may come out of this is that he will likely never be entrusted to drive another very expensive cement truck again.

Do you have concrete evidence of this?

It's obvious that the driver lost on aggregate. 😋

Sounds like a seatbelt may have saved the poor young man’s life. RIP
