Pattaya Reading Glasses Shop

Featured Replies

I need some new reading glasses and would appreciate any recommendations for decent glasses shops.

I have a recent prescription from Australia so hoping they just accept that rather than going through the test again. I see a couple of stores in Central festival and one decent sized store on soi bukhao but just thought I'd see if anyone had some good advice

I think any shop will produce the glasses according to your prescription, because they all order from the factory.

First optic, in the soi behind Tukcom is where I always go, as he is the cheapest.

But why you wouldn't accept a new test, which is free, and should confirm your description.
If they do their test, and something is wrong with the new glasses, they are responsible to correct it. While if they use your description, and something isn't right, they will blame you.

I don't think there is much benefit paying more in an opticians and would look to those stalls one sees in the Malls for basic reading glasses.  Right in front of the corridor to the bathrooms on the ground floor of BIg-CX as an example.

For my progressive lenses I visit an optometrist.

My readers are from Mr. DIY.

20 baht, Mr DIY etc shops stock an array of designs and strengths. The wife uses them from time to time. Wouldn’t pay thousands at optometrists for infrequent use.

There can be.

Although the OP quoted "reading glasses" the prescription might be more complex and include correction for other issues, then that's the way he should go.

However if he just needs magnifiers then the glasses available in markets all over the place are good enough.
