Popular Post tomazbodner Posted January 13 Popular Post Posted January 13 I had a problem with new Oppo phone - some banking apps detected threats and shut down. Could not figure out which app did it. Now it seems clear. Oppo/Realme preinstalled some apps which have full permissions set, and cannot be removed (well, they could be with ADB but would likely be installed back after next update). Fineasy is one of them, which has caused lots of noise in past few days and hit the media. While Oppo promises to provide a way to uninstall those apps through update, and stop including such apps in the future, right now you can only remove it by yourself with ADB in developer mode, or take your phone to Oppo service center to uninstall it for you. Alternatively, you could disable it - tap and hold on the app, tap on manage, Force Stop the app, tap on Disable app, then clear cache and clear data under storage. For those more techy... So if you have an Oppo or Realme phone and use them for anything important, do take notice and disable preinstalled apps, or take it to the service center to get it done for you. 1 2

Why would china risk losing foreign manufacturing companies by inserting hijacks in those foreign companies phones? The "supervision" isn't as close as they'd like you to believe.
