I thought the GOP wanted all decisions related to education to be made at the local level, with no "interference" from Washington? 🤔

Just like they did with abortion…..oh wait…that was only after they realised what a hot potato(e) it had become.

Good news.

Sanity is starting to return.

Trump often says something absurd; beyond reality(without thinking twice).

But at least his supporters are often better reasoned than Dems.

This needs to be implemented across all sports and especially in the Olympics

Agree.

I am not a keen sports watcher myself.

But still feel it outrageous Men fake Women in games of sports To Own Advantage.

And the system that approves it.

Act of Institutionalized Fraud in Public.

"House Approves"...

Wouldn't it make sense to add the name of the country to news like that?

I saw the headline on the right side, and I thought this is about Thailand, and I clicked on it.

And then I discovered it is about that strange country far away from here. Let them do whatever they want to do.

Some may not know this, but I tend to lean to the left, and this makes PERFECT sense to me. Women in women's sports, men in men's, and let there be a category for the transgenders.

I think the problem with the right is that they pretend anybody left of center wants DEI and drag queens in schools and people with penis in women's sport and all that.

But in reality, there is only a tiny crowd on the far left with stupid ideas like that. The big problem is that those radicals are very loud. And many people on the left, but not on the extreme left, are too scared to tell the extreme left to shut up or go away or just ignore them.

a Republican from Louisiana, emphasized the party's commitment to women's rights

When has the Republican Party ever emphasized women's rights? Can anyone help me out by pointing to legislation that emphasized women's rights, since enfranchisement in 1920? Honest question.

It’s about human rights, not special rights. Equal rights under the law, though the twisted left's idea of rights is a set of rights for different people depending on their looks and ideology. Men competing against women is not a right and shouldn’t be forced and imposed upon those that disagree to compete with them, though they are free to do so in the playground after school. This entire DEI abject is a failed construct of a minor antisocial minority whose sole intent is to disrupt, it’s really that simple.

Excellent news. When I grew up if you liked guys you were either gay or bisexual. Now? Here is a list of sexual descriptions, many of which are legally accepted within the US and the EU. What can one say?

The term first appeared in the Marxist-Leninist vocabulary following the Russian Revolution (really, a coup) of 1917 to describe strict adherence to policies and principles of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party. “Political correctness” was invented by the communists to camouflage the truth about events and policies in the Soviet Union that had resulted in mass murders, the starvation of millions, and slave labor camps. It was “politically incorrect” to reveal such facts; the “party line” was for all loyal communist party members to promote the same “politically correct truths” about the “good life” under totalitarian government.

https://www.telegram.com/news/20200114/roberta-schaefer-history-of-political-correctness-and-why-its-gone-way-too-far

When a woman devotes her entire youth to a sport, and becomes one of the best in that particular area, and then a man comes along who decides to identify as a woman, and steals all the awards, all the victories, and all the accolades, something is not right in society. Something is broken, society has become morally bankrupt, and there has to be a pause, there has to be an interruption of the nonsense.

No woman would survive more than 30 minutes in the NFL. Women will not participate in men's sports because they won't be able to handle the physical endurance required, nor the brutality, nor the talent level.

A woman ranked #5 on the WTA could not beat a #758 man on the ATP as John McEnroe so truthfully stated.

Hopefully all this craziness will pass and we'll return to some form of normalcy and indecency.

In a move that has stirred significant debate, the House of Representatives passed legislation on Tuesday aimed at banning transgender athletes from participating in women's and girls' sports in schools and institutions receiving federal funding.

So, does that mean transgender athletes can participate in men's and boy's sports in these schools and institutions? If so, why?

Banning them means they can not if, the school or institution receives federal funding.. Which most do even the private ones get some form of federal funding.

What's to debate?  Don't let males compete against females in female sport.  It's insane that there is even anything to debate.

@thesetat... I know the penalty is loss of federal funding. What I was asking is referring to the article which ONLY says transgender cannot participate in WOMEN's or GIRL's sports. I asked if that means transgenders CAN PARTICIPATE in MEN's or BOY's sports. And, if that's the case, why does the law only address female sports?
