Nobody ever said "That woman slept with 500 men, I really admire that". It's easy for a woman to sleep with 500 men, it's hard not to do it. So we don't respect a woman with a lot of sexual partners, from the outset it's easy for her, it's harder not to do it. Now there are policy reasons for making prostitution immoral. Prostitution is a woman selling her body. And if she is prepared to do that, she has shown what she is capable of, there is very little in the way of immoral behaviour she would not be capable of doing. This is why prostitutes often steal, they're already viewed as immoral. A prostitute is a woman contaminated in every way, not just with DNA from 500 or 3000 guys, but with immorality. Why would anyone want to be with an immoral woman? She's a professional gold digger. Sex IS dirty, it's filthy, and a woman who wallows in prostitution is like a pig that wallows in mud , she's filthy beyond measure. So no, working in a bar is not better than collecting bottles. The latter has a dignity which prostitution could never have. Of course there are some who argue that torture can be moral, if you're trying to save a life, and will argue that prostitution can be moral, if she does it to feed a child. And yes, intent is relevant, but there are always alternatives to prostitution.
