REPORTER: You would agree it's never acceptable to assault police officers?

TRUMP: Sure

REPORTER: Among those you pardoned is a guy who used a stun gun on a police officer. Why does he deserve a pardon?

TRUMP: Well, I don't know

Dementia.

and yours is not ?

Trump is just being Trump and this will an interesting 4 years. I was hoping he wouldn't pardon "all" the rioters, except 14 Proud Boy members that were released from prison and I assume will be pardoned in the future.

This is going to be a fun ride!

Trump being Trump is no excuse, dude!

It might work a little in his insane speech.

But pardoning violent criminals who assaulted police officers when posing as a law and order president is an ACTION.

DISGUSTING!

Ok. You just forgot to post a link to this confession. Got it.

Look it up yourself.  Considerate it an exercise in personal growth, holding your nose and clicking outside the MSM.

Otherwise, you're arguing with half the facts.

I think it's a given to say that The Hill will run with this story as a negative move by Trump and Biden's 11th hour pardons as a positive move by Biden. Fact is the majority of the Jan 6 protesters were non-violent with huge prison terms handed out to them and it's these that will get pardons and Biden's 11th hour pardons are to protect the guilty from federal charges. If the people Biden gave pardons to are innocent and have nothing to answer for they don't need to accept the pardons. BTW a federal pardon does not protect the person from state law processes.

Hmmmm...  Does that include murderers of FBI agents?

The FBIAA — which represents more than 14,000 active and former FBI agents — characterized Biden’s decision to allow Peltier to serve out the rest of his sentence in home confinement as a stab in the back to the bureau and its employees. Peltier was convicted in 1977 for the 1975 murders of FBI Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He sought to get out of prison repeatedly before Biden, on the final day of his presidency, commuted his sentence.

Show us where Trump has stated that those who were violent will get pardons. If you can't it's time for you to stop going on about it as your posts will be seen as little more than unfounded nonsense.

We already know posts are unfounded nonsense.

You make a claim. You are supposed to back it up. Don't tell me to go looking on conspiracy websites for it.

You said there is a video where she confesses to it. Post it. Simple. One little link would shut down the argument, no?

Jonathon Turley explains that quite nicely.  Paraphrasing, the Biden DOJ was so egregious in their harsh treatment of the J6 protestors that they opened the door for Trump to overcorrect.

Turley, on “America’s Newsroom,” suggested that while he had wanted accountability for those “responsible for the riot,” the DOJ’s overreach made Trump’s pardons reasonable.

Had Biden's DOJ only gone after the bad actors, Trump would have probably pardoned none of them.  It's not as if he's a soft on crime Dem...

Of course, it's someone else's fault that this clown shoe doesn't know what he's doing!

Trump's pardon is a slap in the face for every law enforcement officer who was trying to protect the Capitol on January 6.

The Secret Service is supposed to protect Trump. What kind of message does it send to them?

Democrats and Hollywood celebs Supporting defund the police was a slap in the face for law inforcement officers... were you as vocal about that....or only when its Trump?

Yes, I agree... a "grotesque display" and abuse of power. But this is just the start. We'll have to endure things like this for at least the next four years. :saai:

Pardon me for asking, but who is the clown shoe in your story?

Because this tread is so chock full of clown shoes, you need to be specific.

Indeed it's outside of MSM where the truth often lies and MSM is where you'll find the misinformation.

I've never encountered a group of people who are so proud to be ignorant and so determined to stay that way and not to get the other half of any issue.

And I'm not using "ignorant" as a pejorative.  By definition, ignorant means I don't know.  I can correct that.   But only if I am willing.

Sure, I am referring to the clown shoe who is signing presidential pardons for violent thugs without even understanding what he is actually signing.

That said, he doesn't seem to understand much. Only yesterday he thought that Spain was the S in  BRICS. Maybe a dementia check is in order.

So, not the clown shoe that was doing exactly that, last week...

But to pardon someone, doesn't it mean they have done 'something' to be pardoned for?

No. It means Trump can't weaponize the DOJ to invent crimes against them, thus satisfying his vindictiveness.

Convicted felon Trump actually loves violent felons as long as they're white and doing the violence for him.

Law and order president my arse.

More blatant and outright lies.

Forget last week. It's the next 4 years of this mentally deficient criminal that we need to worry about.

I suggest you research the law a bit as to inferences to be drawn from a pardon.

Seems to be going well so far. The Socialists are on the run, the Democratic party is a shell, fabulous. Cant wait for the deportations to start.

Rubbish. They are as likely to think imprisoning most of them was as much an abuse of the justice system as I do.

That was a blatant act of revenge, not of justice.

The message the Secret Service get is to do their job and not almost let him get killed like they did before.

There are lot of butt hurt loosers whining on AN at the moment. One hopes they don't keep it up for 4 years like they did the first time.

It was the criminal justice system working the way it should, with criminals.

The message the Secret Service get is this guy is not worth taking a bullet for.

The correct spelling is "loser", which only illustrates your own status.
