Is this new in 90 days report?
I live Chiang mai and I spent 3 days in Tak. The hotel changed my residence address...from there all ok. Last week I had to do my TM47 and I put my address of Chiang mai doing the TM47 online and was rejected, because the address they have was still Tak Hotel, then I told my landlord to put me again in the system (TM30) and when she did after few hours later I did my TM 47 again...and was rejected again, but this time they told me come to immigration in person...WT* So when I went to immigration looks like every time you book a night in a hotel, your next TM47 you must to go in person to do it... or at least that's what the officer told me (and not very convincing because he had to ask someone about that). This rule is new in Chiang mai? because I've here for 10 years traveling and staying in hotels and I never had a problem to put my condo address after staying in a hotel 1 month before. I know every time you leave the country, yes is mandatory to go in person to immigration for your next TM47.......but even staying in a hotel in Chiang mai for 1 night I have to go?? they have a convenient online system and I don't have to waste one day of my work vacations for this sh*t.. Did anyone has the same situation here?? -

90 Day Reporting at Jomtien in person - how early and late can it be done?
The point is they data entry all your details, so if you lodge online you only submit the TM47 right? they cross check on there pc/data on record, thats it, change of address then they update there data, but if you go in in person its the 5 photo copys, which should not be necessary, handing over the TM47 and your passport should be enough, if you have changed address its on the TM47 which can be updated when they cross check your data, sound simple? You would think its far easier to check the data than to process five more pages that needs to be stored for 10 ys. -

Thai Tax Laws for Expats: the Practical Implications versus the Realities
My local immigration asked for a tax receipt when renewing extensions to teachers, the first year of enforcement they asked, some schools are supposed to file your tax that they deduct but never produce a receipt or TIN, the school I worked at, you were supposed to file your own, but no one ever did - when applicants didn't have the receipts, it was a "mai bpen rai, next year na" - the following year, they had given up asking for them. The immigration department are just RTP, they have no interest in enforcing all laws, only ones that they can profit from - maybe we will see an increase in visa applicants using agents if it is enforced. -
