IMO old government employees are busily redacting everything in the hope of covering up things they thought were going to be hidden till they passed.

This was the first thing that came to mind. How much will be redacted. I'm imagining pages that are completely black. Maybe a line or two left.

From Trump's Executive Order:
'The American people deserve transparency and truth.'

It's not about the American people or truth—Trump declassifying these assassination documents is all about him, the two attempts on his life, and his martyrdom.

Waiting for The Third Testament to drop.

Unredacted Mueller and Jack Smith reports on January 6th and the classified documents case? Now that’s transparency—and relevance.

Yes, revoke the pardons for Milly & cheny and go for it,  see what happens

They're going to resist kicking and screaming, if only to thwart the Bad Orange Man.  Keep him fighting on so many fronts...

Though that backfired spectacularly for the election.  It was the Dems' to lose, and they punted- into the wrong end zone.

Good.  Now let's see if the term, "Conspiracy Theorist," holds up under the scrutiny of published facts?

That's not quite "being released to the public."

Amongst all the squabbling, I just want to understand what do people think will be the effect on Americans of these releases?

e.g. Pres. Kennedy shot by an assassin who had a second shooter on the grassy knoll. So what? He's dead and everyone involved is dead, so what is the result? How does it affect anyone today?

If UFOs are real, so what? Better question is, how did they travel faster than light to get here?

I guess if it was the CIA then that would have an effect.

When do we see them...

the non redacted set?

Redacted is the way they'll be released. Already done IMO. Any non-redacted information if it's "sensitive" has already met the shredder. Again IMO.

You're assuming that Oswald wasn't just a patsy.  That may be correct.  Or it may have been the Mob, the CIA or LBJ or ???.  In any case, how are Americans supposed to trust the gub'ment if they won't release the information?

The bigger implication is that Americans should be allowed to know the truth.  That's the only way for the gub'ment (and the MSM) to regain the people's trust.

I've actually visited this location and found it hard to believe that an individual in the 'sniper's lair' gave up a position where the target was moving toward him slowly and came to an almost complete stop before turning left onto Elm Street; a relatively easy shot for anyone familiar with firearms.  The sniper allegedly gave up this position to run downstairs and shoot from the grassy knoll where the suspect was going downhill, moving to the left and increasing speed.

From the first position the target is moving in one plane of movement towards the sniper and making the shot very easy; the target basically moved into the crosshairs.  From the grassy knoll the target was moving in three planes of movement making the shot more and more difficult as time progressed with a constant need to readjust and reacquire the target.

That is a smart move from Trump. Lots of people will concentrate on those old records and ignore everything else.

I hope some people will pay attention what Trump will do when he thinks nobody is watching.

Somehow, I think it is almost funny that all those MAGA fanboys not even think that this might be a reason why Trump does what he does.

Did he never lie before? Did he never take advantage before? Or did you just not notice it?

It is not as ridiculous as it sounds.

It is called burying the bad news under the good news/busy news day!

Many governments/organisations do it regularly!

In UK Tabloid speak it's called a 'sh!t sandwich'. Good news, or a media grabbing headline in the morning to get everyone talking, then release the bad news for the Lunchtime news, which most people don't follow, then follow up with a 2nd good news or media grabbing event  for the evening news. In effect the midday announcement gets burried.

Classic example would be Jo Moore who was a special advisor in the last Labour Government who capitalised on the phrase "good day to bury the (bad) news" when the 9/11 atrocities happened in the US.  It took 5 months before she was sacked.

It's incredulous that you can say this after what Biden has just done and keep in mind he said he never would.

I think most people can guess, at this point, that Lee Harvey Oswald was right that day when he said he didn't shoot anybody. He was  set up.  All that is marginally interesting, to me.  Probably everyone involved is now dead.  I can remember it all, but I'm now 73.

What about RFK and MLK?  Those cases are even more interesting.  And Malcom X. I almost forgot.

And then there's 9/11, the UFOs, the Scamdemic, the massive media censorship..... The hits just keep on coming.

Better look at your history before making that statement.  Trump implemented the cap on insulin prices.  Biden just went along.

Prove me wrong...

https://www.perplexity.ai/search/did-trump-put-a-cap-on-insulin-IkIVbkNMRASSbsLNMe6vBA#0

Summary

While Trump initiated a program that capped insulin prices for some seniors, Biden's legislation established a more robust and permanent cap affecting a larger population. Trump's claim that he deserves full credit for lowering insulin costs is misleading; both administrations contributed to this issue, but Biden's approach provided broader coverage and security for beneficiaries.

This is going to be interesting.

Lets see how he was able to use a rubbish rifle to do everything it was claimed he did.

Yeah, I just watched Oliver Stone's latest documentary on the "assassination". So many unanswered questions, cover ups, wrong data. Bullet entry and exit points reversed etc etc. Let's see what they come up with on the unredacted originals.

It occurred to me the JFK aftermath explains a lot about why the US is such a hotbed of conspiracy theories. The government has a lot of form for it! I guess it explains why nobody believes anything they say.

Gotta read the "news" carefully.  Remember, it's written by infotainment staff, not actual old-style journalists.

Headline says Trump is releasing records of three assassinations, leading the public to believe EVERYTHING will be released.

Further into the short article, we learn that ALL the remaining records of MLK and RFK will be released, but as to JFK only that THOUSANDS of pages will be released.

Thousands, out of possible tens of thousands.

National security concerns still trump Trump.  I doubt we're gonna see everything.

Heck, I'm still waiting for Trump to release the Kracken!

I've got my tree-fiddy ready.

Don't you think the point of this is Trump will highlight similarly between who was involved with the JFK Assassination & the shocking treatment aimed at Trump the last 4yrs by the last administration. Including the assignation attempts.
