You have to go north off VM circle, make the U-turn, then you'll have access to the tollway much quicker.   Though strangely, Gmap states it will take 4 minutes longer :cheesy:

I did add a stop to force Gmaps to redirect the route.  So maybe take same amount of time, if subtracting the time in/out of driveway of the stop 🙄

If you know there might be an easier way, you can force Gmaps to show you.

Exactly this....

... and avoid all the 'ground level traffic' wherever possible - there are loads of roadworks going on now with the MRT lines being built, bridges being knocked down etc and knock-on impact of excessive traffic...

Khun LA's route is the quickest way to the elevated expressway to head east although the traffic will still be very heavy on that heading out of town.

Exactly. I use that expressway entrance often. @KhunLA route is correct. Head up Phaholyothin from VM and just after Soi 1 on the left there is a U-turn with the PTT station on the opposite side. Do the U-turn and you're only a couple of hundered metres from the expressway entance on the left.

Went to pickup friends from BKK last night and, even with traffic, it only took 45 minutes. Went to Pattaya last week and that was just 1hr45 minutes from that entrance. Straight line. Easy trip.
