Jomtien Beach Road Construction

Featured Replies

Hi, I just checked out the streetview for Jomtien and it seems there is (was?) a lot lf construction blocking access to the beach. It's hard to know when the streetview was take (dated 2025).

Any local update regarding the state of construction along the beach road greatly appreciated.

Construction is still going on. The front part start from Dongtan looks completed but still dusty and messy the whole stretch till Chaiyapruek T junction.

Don’t know if this gives you any more information than you already have from streetview, but from memory of a walk tonight, think it starts from around soi 7 or 8 and goes south, don’t know for how long, haven’t walked that far. North of that, such as at Dong Tan beach stretch, is unaffected. I’d say it’s going to be a fair while before it’s finished, hope by next high season. Beach road’s one way in south direction (except for some motorbikes!)

You did well, I looked on Google Maps and got a view from June 2024....how you got 2025 so early in the year is surprising. That one showed work at the soi 7 going North  from there.  Which is what I experienced last time I was there. Have to go to immigration soon so have more fun to come.

Looks like they are taking their merry time and the job will be ongoing for some time, albeit maybe moving.

Thanks for all the replies. We'll be staying north of Soi 7 near the Thappraya Rd./Dongtan beach corner so looks like we'll be unaffected.

That's the one I saw (north of Soi 7) which would've scuppered my plans. Using my phone so misread the the ©2025 as the photo date 🤣
