Pretty much the same as when I lived in the USA, except I got 2 more free days, since I don't work here.   7 days off, instead of 5, so not exactly life changing.

Do have different hobbies here, and don't travel as much or as far away from home.  USA being much bigger.

Single and free most of the time in USA, and dined out at least once a day .   In a relationship most of the time here, and rarely dine out now, past 20 yrs.  First 5 yrs here, dined out almost every day.

Not much difference or life changing.

Q&A Y&N

Simple as it gets.

That like it should be. After all, we have moved to a place where things are not that stressful and developed as most of us left behind.

I like simple! :-)

Stay away from Germans and Swiss, makes life just grand!

I have a very nice life here, far superior to being in the mess that is the UK.

I live very nicely, thanks for asking...

You are most welcome.

Not married so the last question was pointless as for girls I use Tinder or Thai Friendly ! I live in a beach house with beautiful views on a small island that has been my home for 19 years Happy Days !

Sounds like a good life. Stay healthy!

First 3 yrs, lived like the typical noob cultural expat simp soyboy.

Last 5 yrs, I avoid most human (both local and falang) contact except for the never ending herds of Thaifriendly groupies and other transactional necessities like grocery shopping. Works for me and I don't bother anyone/vice versa.

Hello again @Gottfrid LMAO with the 50/50 on do you care about your wife's family 🤣

I answered yes to "do you care about your wife's family"  although I don't have a wife, I have a GF.

When we get married, her family will become mine and mine will become her's.

Her parents are Russian (retired diplomats who lived most of their working life outside of Russia).

I live much like I did in the US but with better year-round weather, a much larger home, my own pool and gym, and more travel.

Y'all got to eat some Thai food.   Not the biggest fan myself, but some of it is quite tasty, especially the curries.

Yes, the westernised Thai food is quite tasty, but most of the Thai food they eat from the North East is very unpleasant!

Yea, the NE tends to over do it with the fish sauce & chilis.

Definitely not judging based on how much you spend. 100k is a normal amount. I don´t know about your situation, but I have family. There are 2 daughter in private school and 1 is reaching teenager stage. We all know what that means to the clothing account. LOL

If you live alone, you have more free time and are probably going out more, meet friends, party. If you just like good a little bit more exclusive food, it will burn money quickly. I am at around 150k per month, without doing any thing much more than the usual.
