80-20 Dems
Well, today I've had replies from Maga supporters claiming that they don't care if Trump violates the constitution. One of them claimed that defying a judge's order is a legitimate means of challenging it. They also mostly support whatever it is Trump does even if it's a massive reversal. Basically, they adore brute power when it's exercised by a strongman. They claim that American is threatened by Marxism even though the American economy outpaces almost all others in the past few years. I can't recall reading any post from Trump supporters that disagree with these claims. (except for CallumWK. I may not agree with his principles but at least he does call out Trump when he sees Trump has abandoned them.). All these elements: indifference to the rule of law, adoration of a strongman, and targeting nonexistent enemies or minorities as a threat to the majority, sound to me a lot like fascism. -

American man and Thai wife lose 15.2 million baht in Hua Hin property fraud
Jesus Christ had a friend named Judas and with a simple kiss on the cheek signalled the soldiers who Jesus was and they arrested him. Get a real estate lawyer that doesn't have skin in that game. Best of luck. Cue the eye rolls. -

Sin city: Brit beaten by furious Thai bar girls over unpaid bill (video)
Screenshot from Daily Mail video by Puntid Tantivangphaisal A British tourist was beaten with high heels and thrown out of a Thai bar by furious female workers after refusing to settle his tab. The middle-aged holidaymaker and his friend were treating a group of young women to drinks at a bar in Pattaya, Thailand’s infamous nightlife hub, when the night took a violent turn. The man allegedly refused to pay the full bill, which included a 50% markup on the women’s drinks, sparking a furious reaction from both the bar staff and the women. Chaotic footage from inside the bar captures the yet-to-be-named British man being pinned to the floor as several women aggressively demand payment. In a brutal assault, they remove their stilettos and repeatedly smash them into his forehead before slapping and kicking him. Screenshot from Daily Mail video One woman is heard shouting, “Take the money from his pocket!” as another reaches for a pool cue, seemingly ready to escalate the violence. Bleeding from a head wound, the stunned tourist struggles to his knees and pleads, “Why are you being nasty? Why are you being nasty?” A concerned bystander steps in, trying to defuse the situation, urging the enraged women to calm down while physically restraining one of them. Meanwhile, a female bar manager in a black dress aggressively orders the Brit out, yelling, “Get the f*ck out of my bar! Do you want more beating?” As the battered tourist stumbles out, the owner delivers a final insult, screaming, “F*ck off!” Screenshot from Daily Mail video According to the employee who filmed the incident, no police report was filed. She claimed the man was drunk, causing trouble, and refused to leave when asked, reported the Daily Mail. “I felt sorry for him because he was hurt but he must respect women when he comes to bars. This is our job.” Pattaya, once a quiet fishing village, transformed into a booming nightlife hotspot in the 1950s when it became a favourite for US troops on leave. Today, it remains notorious for its wild party scene, where incidents like this are far from rare. Screenshot from Daily Mail video Source: The Thaiger -- 2025-02-07- 1

Thai man accidentally stabs New Zealand son-in-law in Buriram
Photo via BanMuang By Petch Petpailin A Thai man accidentally stabbed his New Zealand son-in-law at their shared home in the Isaan province of Buriram yesterday while attempting to attack his drug-addicted nephew. Officers from Prakhonchai Police Station investigated the stabbing at a house in the Ban Bordin community in Prakhonchai district, Buriram, yesterday afternoon, February 6. They found the 60 year old New Zealand man inside with a serious stab wound to his stomach. He was rushed to Buriram Hospital. The foreign man’s father-in-law, 75 year old Lek, turned himself in at the police station, bringing the 20-centimetre knife used in the incident. Lek informed the police that his daughter and her New Zealand husband had arrived in Thailand only on February 5. They mostly lived abroad and came to Thailand to spend time with Lek and other family members. Before marrying the foreigner, Lek’s daughter had been married to a Thai man and had a son named Thawat, now 32 years old. Thawat was addicted to drugs and frequently assaulted family members. On the day of the incident, Thawat approached his mother to ask for money to buy drugs. She told him to wait as she needed to exchange currency first. This enraged Thawat, who then attacked his mother inside the house. Lek stated that he had witnessed Thawat assaulting family members for a long time and could no longer tolerate it. Being old and with nothing to lose, he later told police that he tried to kill his drug-addicted nephew to end the ongoing problems. Lek waited inside his room, knowing that Thawat would come to him for money at any moment. Holding a knife in his hand, he listened for footsteps approaching. When the door suddenly opened, he immediately stabbed the person standing in front of it, believing it to be Thawat. Tragically, it was not his nephew but his foreign son-in-law. Lek said he was shocked upon realising his mistake and immediately bowed down to apologise before going to the police station. Lek’s other daughter, 40 year old Manit, told Channel 7 that her New Zealand brother-in-law was not angry at Lek but felt sorry for him. He asked his wife to bail his father-in-law out. Although he suffered a serious injury, he is now in a stable condition. According to media reports, Thawat fled the house after the stabbing and has not returned since. Trump’s Bold Proposal to End Gaza’s Cycle of Suffering
UNRWA doesn't do human rights, they do have staff that work for Hamas and even some who kept hostages, along with another who took a dead Israeli body back to Gaza. Talking of UNRWA, Italy just refused to work with them to. Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister @Antonio_Tajani sends a strong message—Now more than ever, it’s clear— @UNRWA is not the solution; it’s the problem: “We don’t want to work with UNRWA, and we condemn the use of UNRWA offices as a prison for Israeli hostages.”
