USAID: What The Focus Of The Big Exposure Should Be
Thanks to the efforts of the DOGE wunderkinds one of the pillars of the deep state, the administrative state, is being blown apart and dismantled in real time. The dems and former regime-now-turned-resistance media are howling hysterically, having gone into meltdown mode. Wonder why? The corruption and grift of so many of them (all?) have been exposed, and is coming to an end. "The DOGE discoveries are not just about "wasted" taxpayer funds. The real story, the 5 alarm fire, is that USAID was literally funding an entirely hand crafted pseudo-reality. Not just in America but all over the world. You were robbed to fund global psychological operations. -Buying off media outlets -Pushing advertiser Boycotts against X and Rumble as they attempted to decrease censorship (AKA narrative control) -Pushing war propaganda -Funding opposition groups in foreign lands to foment revolutions -Funding lawfare against the former president of the united states and his supporters (I could go on for an hour) People get caught up on the "$100K to study cocaines' impact on chihuahua" stories. That is not the headline here. The headline here is: The US government robbed you blind in an effort to control your mind That's about as big as it gets." Lefties can cry and moan all they want. They just continue denying reality, as they always do. -

krungsri 1.5% only gain account?
Well, there was no compunction to retain funds in an account in those days, so I imagine that money has long since been spent. But I agree with you. For GBP 17T or so, of much more concern to me is the rate at which funds are transferred. The 800b on my account went in at just over 46 a few years ago. The rate is now bumbling around 41/42, so to do monthly transfers at that rate plus charges is more costly. I can live on other savings plus low top ups but unlike with monthly transfers I can sit there and wait for an appreciation in the rate. Heineken is right that savings rates are better in the U.K. but even they are slipping right back gradually. On GBP 17,000 it's hardly a king's ransome. And there are other factors like convenience, legality, quick access to funds, opening UK fixed deposits etc. It's really horses for courses and everyone has different needs, so I wouldn't criticize anyone's methods. If the exchange rates plummet or they change the rules I might think differently but at the moment I'm content with my situation. -

Thai court rules traffic fines unlawful since 2020
Another action to make the roads safer surely with all the holidays and the rush hours... Solution is easy enforce the law and rise the fines as the fines and punishment are too low... Than a court can decide if it is a correct fine or not -

Missing British man found dead in Bangkok
This is intended as background information, not speculation. Speaking in general terms and with no specific reference to the case of James Sangwine, a deliberate GoFundMe fraud could be considered theft by deception in the UK and the US. https://www.stuartmillersolicitors.co.uk/obtaining-money-deception-sentence-uk/ https://www.nealdavislaw.com/blog/white-collar-crime/go-fund-me-scam/ On a separate note, but again, as background info and not speculation: it is standard practice for the police in many countries not to release to the press or public details of the death of a tourist who met his end under circumstances which could prove embarrassing to his family. It's relatively rare, but it does happen tourists die because of drunken misadventure or accidental drug overdose. It can be the reason a family member "disappears" while abroad. The police or embassy will tell the family the real circumstances, but then all info dries up. -
