Interested to know how you identified them as Israeli's? I mean, lets face it, Israel is not a large country or population and Thailand is nowhere near their top destination places to go on holidays. I live in Phuket, have done for around 18 years  or so, can't ever remember being able to identify an Israeli tourist, ever, I mean, why would I?

I do know some Israelis because of their kids going to the same International School and again I would never have known they were from Israel had I not been to their houses for birthday parties etc and spoke to the families.

I did not identify them as anything, that is how they were described in some media items.

Yea right................you've got a good memory of very old news articles. Good that you remembered this one in particular eh :saai:

"Around the millennium time young Israelis were making themselves unwelcome in the Khaosan Rd"

It stuck in my mind because it mentioned Iraelis, people who were very rarely if ever mentioned in the Thai media.

Got that eh.?

How you can read anything anti-Israeli or anti-Jewish into my post is puzzling and says more about yourself than me.

The topic is actually about young Israelis behaving badly in Thailand.

Around the millennium time young Israelis were making themselves unwelcome in the Khaosan Rd area for antisocial behaviour.

@MalcolmB Heres another opportunity for you to post your "No Israelis" sign again .

Your 23 year old sign fits in with the story

They were not my signs, they were Thai business people that had been burnt before.

Anyway, good information, I won’t be visiting Pai until they clear them out.

Its a vociferous badly behaved groups of Israelis , like Chavs or Brogans or Arsim in Hebrew .

Its also young guys who have been taught that to solve problems you need to act in an aggressive direct way , like if an enemy is walking towards you , you don't politely ask him to stop

So the local people are the enemy?

When will you stop making excuses for disgusting behaviour?

Whenever I have come across Israelis, yes mostly young men, they are loud and obnoxious. I have seen them play pool for two hours and buy one bottle of water between the three of them. Totally self-centered and they wonder why no one likes them.

What if it was three young pretty Thai girls who were playing pool and just buying 1 bottle of water , would you then hate Thai girls as well ?

Good question! if they were foreigners, I would equally criticise, but I have never seen it in 15 years. You just deflect from my experience. I have run across a few Israelis, and they are universally disliked. Sorry, but that's a fact: their problem is entitlement.

If it was his business and they attracted spending males into it, I imagine no. If they were rowdy and discouraged others from entering the bar, whilst not contributing to revenue at all, I imagine they would be equally unwelcome.

I can assure you , there have been numerous incidents of Indians and people of other Nationalities just buying water in a bar and playing pool .

There's even the usually joke on this forums about Indians buying a bottle of water and four straws to share the bottle

I was talking about Thai females .

Would you be critical if three  Thai females went into a bar and just ordered one bottle of water ?

Well, Israelis have plenty of experience of trashing other countries and abusing the inhabitants. It is a sense of entitlement.

It never happened, and if they did, they would be working there. No way would three Thai females do that.

I was asking IF it happened .

I do think that you wouldn't mind if three young pretty thai girls walked in and began playing pool and bought just 1 beer .

I expect you would ask them to come back again as well
