They were banned by multiple countries in the past and it's time to start banning them again.  They should be isolated from the rest of the world but they control Trump and others like him so they get to do whatever they want including the genocide of women and children with no recourse.  Horrible world and it's only going to get worse.

That's B.S.

Israelis are banned in some Muslim countries such as Malaysia because of anti Zionist ideology. There isn't one country banning Israelis because of arrogant backpackers, etc. Don't conflate the two things.

See "Hitchens's razor", named after Christopher Hitchens who coined the phrase.

That's okay, you can dismiss it. Doesn't change the facts and doesn't change the article here that supports those facts.

It was in reference to @SAFETY FIRST, not you.

Read again what I said and do a little research before contradicting someone's post. Or doesn't history and the facts matter to you?

I don't care what you call it. Myself and very many others on this forum who may choose to speak out or stay silent, know that it is true. We've actually seen and experienced it. So your protestations mean precisely nothing.

Bizarre post.

This is about objective reality.

Either it has been talked about here and in the press or not.

It's a definite FACT that it has been.

You are objectively wrong.

I read it again.

My reply stands.

The bans are about anti Zionist politics not bad behavior of tourists.

I acknowledge the problem of bad behavior of mostly young Israeli tourists of course though.

Anti-Zionist ideology is a convoluted way of saying that they support the Palestinians.

Quote

The signing of the Oslo I Accord between Israel and PLO in September 1993 led Mahathir to tone down his attacks against Israel. Mahathir even considered to establish diplomatic relations with Israel but he stressed that Israel has to do more to bring peace to the Middle East and the Palestinian lands would be returned. Malaysia later pledged to help Gaza and Jericho to rebuild infrastructure there in response to the Israel-PLO agreement. However, in December 1993, Mahathir said that Malaysia was not ready yet to establish diplomatic relations with Israel because Israel has not recognized the state of Palestine. Besides, Israel has not resolved the pending issues with Palestine and other Arab countries.[6] Mahathir also accused Zionists of undermining Malaysia's integrity and trying to destroy Islam.[7]: 45–47  In July 1994, Tunku Abdullah, brother of the King of Malaysia paid a private visit to Israel. When his visit was made known in Malaysia, Mahathir denied any government knowledge or involvement in the visit.[6] In 1994, a small number of Israelis were allowed to enter Malaysia to participate in a number of conferences touching various topics.[6] In January 1996, Israeli finance minister Avraham Shochat said that Israel was looking forward to establishing diplomatic ties with Malaysia. However, the Malaysian foreign ministry replied that Malaysia was not in a hurry to establish such diplomatic ties.[6]

No clue why you bothered to post that. We are all aware of the conflict there.

They would have been kicked out of my Jewish neighborhood in the USA.

People think that the Israeli culture is the same as Jewish culture.

This is completely false.

Disgusting culture, the Israeli culture, IMHO.

I do not like them.

They should return to their desert home, and bake in the Sun.

Most act crazy like they have heat stroke or something.

May they rot in the desert.

Yes of course, and it is of course absurd to generalize in this way given the diversity in each nationality.

However as we can see in this thread some people get strangely agitated when Jews are involved. Reference to this particular incident and the poor behavior a a few Israeli tourists is fair enough, but many of the comments here refer with contempt to 'the Israelis' as a national group. There is a name for this.

Perhaps due to some muddying the waters, by using terms such as 'anti-semetic' and 'anti-Zionist'. Which is what happens when anyone dares to tell the truth about Israel.

I get it. You just hate Israel and can't be bothered to be objective about this. Do you think a middle aged married Israeli couple would tend to be more problematic than other nationalities as tourists with similar demographics?

Thank you GG. I believe there is a difference too. I've always had a great admiration for the Jews I've known and worked with. But (ultra) nationalism is a very different kettle of fish, across all religions, political beliefs, ideologies. If you can't live alongside each other, there'll always be strife.

Garbage reply.

Zionism is the reason it was founded. You seem allergic to objective reality.

Honest reply. The middle aged couple are the same people who caused the trouble back in the '90s....just older and with more money.

Hmm where do they think they are, Gaza ?  😡

They've already destroyed all the hospitals and kindergartens in Gaza.  Guess they're extending their ethnic cleansing to include other brown peoples.

To be expected, though.  They likely got overexcited when they saw the Buddhist swastikas and thought they were in yet another promised land.

All the Israelis I've encountered in Asia (mostly Siam Reap) are single guys and girls that have just finished their national service and out looking for a good time. One I was chatting to, I mentioned all the guys were totally ripped, and the girls were a bit chubby, he said, "They weren't forced to run around with full packs like we were".

The guys all seemed very pleasant, sitting around the pool chatting, they even rolled and gave joints to me!

You don't understand the definition of Zionism.

You are conflating opposition to Israeli government policies to anti Zionism. Any Israeli citizen including Arab ones that supports the right of Israel to exist supports Zionism.

Malaysia for example opposes Israel's right to exist.

I searched for a reference for this but couldn't find one. In November 2024 PM Anwar was talking ofctabling a motion tobexpel Israel from the UN. And Malaysia has banned Israeli flag carrying shipping from its ports. But I couldn't find any reference to forbidding entry to Malaysia for Israelis.

A long time ago I used to get the cheap "Iron Curtain" airlines from LHR to BKK. The Russians didn't like Israelis at all, and made life extremely difficult at immigration. We were often held up for hours while they argued about it. They'd stamp a separate piece of paper, not the passport. I think a necessity for Israelis wishing to travel in the Middle East and maybe elsewhere.

Just now, Jingthing said:

No. It was there before a certain demographic took over. They used to live together on the same land, until it was surreptitiously bought up, piece by piece with the intention of leaving the Palestinians surrounded. Of course that led to civil war and they were ready for that. it's all part of their plan. It suits some to have their presence there and now the disgusting talk of removing the remaining Palestinians in so the USA can develop the land for themselves. I think all morals have abandoned certain peoples.

Anyway, this is off-topic, so let's leave it there.

Wrong, there are communities that live there but are anti-Zionist. You'll even see Palestinian flags there.

You know, as a Jew, that not all Jews approve of secular Zionism and see it as an abomination. As in life, many people are just sheep that just go along for the ride.

To be honest, their behaviour was so horrible in the 90's, that people took pleasure when one of them got blocked at the airport in Malaysia. I think it was discretionary.

If Zionism means a belief that there should be a Jewish homeland where they can live unmolested and securely, then I am a Zionist.

I am not Jewish, have no Jewish relatives, have never visited Israel and (sadly) have no Jewish friends.I also support Palestinian aspirations for their own state. But I can recognize an old fashioned Jew hater when I come across one - they always bang on about Zionism and never define what they mean by it.

That's hardly reliable evidence to back up the claim, which you didn't make in any case. It was @Jingthing. Malaysia will no doubt feel the wrath of the US who will block any move against Israel in the UN, although there have been many, which Israel simply ignores. The US is the enforcer standing behind the criminal Israeli government. A marriage made in Hell.

So are they any Jew haters here? I ask you since you claim that you can recognise them.
