Musk targets Social Security with blatant misinformation

If everybody else is getting it, I certainly intend to get mine. Absolutely. But I can recognize that this will go down just like the Covid stimulus and fuel inflation three times as much as then. If we have an emergency to reduce the debt, this money should be applied to that.

I think it should go to the countries debt too, or at least something beneficial for everyone

Only some citizens would get the refund. Surely, no one expects that  someone on welfare who has not paid taxes will receive a big payment???  😄

Why not?

Why not?

Because they have not contributed. The money should go to the people who paid that money. When you have a refund for overcharging, it is the person who paid who gets the refund, not willie the wino who will use the money to buy another bottle of ripple.

If the signatories don't implement the agreement, what are non-signatories to make of that?  Never implemented, never took deflect.

My point is that the main actor which was present and active in Donbass (and really active against Ukraine) was not bound by the agreement. So it was useless.

Okay, I answered it. Now you:

Again,

What you think, US boots on the ground and on to Moscow?

How was this going to play out had Harris won?

What would you have Trump do about Ukraine?

Would calling Putin names and praising Zelinski do it for you?

Can you not stop obsessing on Trump to answer a question?

Stay the course until the last Ukrainian is dead, right?

Like all leftists, all you do is throw rocks. You have absolutely no idea what Trump should do.

It's not the subject of the post you replied to.

If you have some comments about Trump diffusing Russian disinformation (the subject of the post you replied to), you are welcome.

The hardcore resistance to Trump saving taxpayers from bring defrauded should refuse to accept any money back from DOGE savings. This will serve as an honesty test. Those that denied the frauds existence and banged on about orange hitler this and that and Musk's a liar etc etc would be embarrassed to take this money that they denied existed, that is unless they were just mindlessly regurgitating Maddows fantasies.

There is no serious proof of fraud yet. Only propaganda tweets.

It's no problem to recognise the existence of fraud after it is proven.

For example  there were reports of fraud by reliable sources such as IG reports. They are fully acknowledged.

My point is the main actor that signed the agreement, failed to implement it, bombed the Donbass for 8 years.

So, yeah.  It was useless.

Had the Minsky agreements been implemented, or Istanbul followed through, none of this would have happened.

FAFO.

Both sides violated the agreements  including Russia which was de facto the other main actor, present on the ground with troops and weapons.

So you think they should give it back to the rich?

Give it to poor citizens, they can use it, and it might buy some votes in the midterms.

The "rich" as you call them have already paid their taxes. Overpayment of taxes should go pack to those who were overcharged.

The poor citizens as you term them are already collecting far more than they contribute. I again remind you that the tax burden in "progressive" countries is carried by a relatively small number of citizens.

If you wish to increase the amount of tax that certain people pay, then change the tax law and increase their tax rate. it is an issue separate and distinct from returning  mney that taxpayers paid in good faith.

In any case, all comments are moot. Trump intends to offset the revenues lost from  proposed tax cuts by  cutting government expenditures.

I'm more concerned with the midterms than I am about what's fair.

We have to get/keep the working poor on board until we can actually improve their lives enough for them to feel it.

Not hardly.  This is just another entry in the endless spewing of deranged rantings.

Where exactly is the threat of losing "a lifetime of contributions" by auditing payments of benefits?

The actual threat to your benefits is the system imploding sooner than expected due to corruption, fraud and abuse.

"The actual threat to your benefits is the system imploding sooner than expected due to corruption, fraud and abuse."

Not true.

This is being said without evidence which is troubling.

The "endless spewing of deranged rantings" would accurately describe all the characterizations of corruption, fraud and abuse without any evidence.

The problem with the system (which seems to have escaped only your notice) is the demographic shift.

The baby boomers (whom so many resent) outnumber the following generations and are living longer than anticipated and that is basis of the problem.

A clear way forward would be to eliminate the maximum income limit on FICA contributions.

This would go a long way to correcting the shortfall.

So (per your link) Republicans want people living overseas to provide identification when they register to vote in federal elections.

And Democrats want people living overseas to not have to show ID to register to vote in federal elections.

You, and NPR are dishonest.

Do some more research and use your brain. I gave you 1 link when you claimed there were none and i was a liar.  There are a number of sites and you can choose which to read, maybe.

There are multiple lawsuits of varying degrees in multiple states. There's way more to some of those lawsuits than apparently your brain can absorb and what you wrote since each state is different.

Then you posted a link proving I was right.

The GOP also have court cases in several states to attempt to limit voting g rights of some citizen groups living outside the USA.

Nice talking point.

Problem is those states are doing outside the US what they do inside the US - not requiring voters to document citizenship in order to vote, or permitting citizens with no connection to the state to vote in the state polls.

How nice of you to be so generous with other peoples' earnings!

I can fix it!  Let's just take more of that guy's money and give it to that illegal alien guy over there!

It's brilliant. The left wants to get the illegals voting even before they let them flood into the country and put them on welfare

Doge is saying that 6,500 Probationary workers will be fired.

Doge is also saying that 15,000 IRS employees will be terminated.

No clue if the 15,000 includes the 6,500.

I think with the proliferation of e-file, the number of IRS employees should be slashed, and with AI, more tax evaders will be caught.

So higher prices cause inflation, and inflation drives revenue higher. Wait, what?

Nice try but you need to do some research as its not just about using id or not. Each state has different requirements normally but the GOP has been actively working to eliminate ability to vote at all for many classes of citizens outside the usa in some of those cases
