Police in Udon Thani have arrested a man who allegedly attacked his 88-year-old adoptive grandfather with a pruning saw, leaving him in critical condition. The suspect was apprehended after returning to the house late at night, prompting residents to alert authorities.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of 19 February at a home in Nong Tan Settlement, Village 2, Phon Ngam Subdistrict, Nong Han District. Emergency responders from Phon Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organisation and Sawang Rescue Unit rushed to assist the elderly victim, identified as Mr Subin, who had suffered severe injuries to his right wrist. The attacker, named as 33-year-old Mr Nui, also known as Tuinuinui, reportedly used a pruning saw to slash the elderly man’s wrist, nearly severing it.

According to police, the attack was triggered by rage after Mr Nui was refused money by his grandfather. In a fit of anger, he allegedly attempted to kill the elderly man, before fleeing the scene on a motorbike.

Later that night, local residents spotted Mr Nui returning to the house and immediately notified the police. Officers from Nong Han Police Station arrived promptly and took him into custody. Due to his apparent medical condition, which was not disclosed by police, he was first transferred to Nong Han Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Mr Subin was moved to Udon Thani Central Hospital, where he remains in critical condition due to severe blood loss.

That´s thank you for taking me under your wings, giving me a place to stay and grow up as well as food everyday. Tuinuinui is an ungrateful SOB

What an A-hole

Thus is a fine example of the morals and values that have been taught in Thailand. Attempt to kill a family member because they do not want to give you some money making you angry at them. This has happened quite a few times already in the past year in Thailand. The government needs to take a hard look at what os taught in schools as well as in the homes. Sad for the old man, and hope he does not die from the wounds inflicted. The man needs to be sent to prison for a long time.

Very very sad indeed and increasing it seems and yes when one can easily get cheap drugs and as for what they teach at school (not all schools tbf)
However,  I respect their religion but everyone it seems from a very young age and even before schooling are it seems forced to do so and yes normally do not discuss it or the politicians the same throughout the world)
Yes, indeed say no more!!

I used to teach and quite a few of the Thais I know or knew asking "What exactly do they teach at school"
