Zelinsky: The End Is Near

You miss the point, I'm afraid.  The war is over, and cannot be won by Ukraine. As for the US being broke?  Not so long as they have the world reserve currency. And least not for a while. Years, perhaps.  In any event, if you step back a look at the bigger picture, you also miss one very important factor.  Russia is now at the table and ready to make a deal with the US for mining Russia minerals, not only in the Donbas, but across Russia.  The Big Lie has now been exposed and no amount of nonsense from Europe can change that simple fact.  The sooner you digest all that, the sooner your eyes will open and you'll begin to see.

Really, have you got a link stating the war is over, or is it just more of your anti-waffling...? 🤫

I just cannot understand how so many commenters here are pro-Putin.  Especially when so many of them complain about stuff... that's SO MUCH WORSE for the side they support, whether it's what Putin does or what Trump does.  Moral bankruptcy, yes, but the hypocrisy is really disgusting.

Trump's behaviour in his 'spat' with Zelenskyy was outrageous, deliberate and planned. How many times does he want the man to say thank you?  This was all part of Trumps aim to get rid of Zeleneskyy to suit Trump's new pal, Putin. If you couldn't see that, you need help - the man isn't even a good actor!

Its shocking that you yanks who support Trump still can't see the wood for the trees.  Thankfully not all yanks are the same but I never thought I'd see the day when a US President aligned with a thug like Putin - a real 'dictator' who has no opposition as such because he either has them killed of locks them up. A man responsible for the deaths of hundreds of soldiers on both sides and who oversaw the massacre at Bucha.

What does Trump have to do for you to wake up from your MAGA intoxicated trance?  When will you realise that Trump is the one who is at risk of starting WW3?

European leaders may be cow-towing now - out of a fear of tariffs but that won't last forever - everyone has their limit and it is well known that apart from a few blind lunatics, very few people in the US actually support Trump in his disgusting attempt to take down Zelenskyy. It was clear what he was doing when he 'invented' his accusations against Zelenskyy.

So - so much for the end is nigh - Zelenskyy's ratings are up in both Ukraine and Europe.  Your leader - US citizens, is going to ruin your country and its standing in the world order.  He's not going to 'Make America Great Again', he's going to wreck your country's reputation and isloate the US. You just can't (won't), see it.

The only thing I agree with him about is that European NATO members should be countributing far more to their defence budgets.

So, Zelensky had the backing of the US and most of Europe and is at an effective stalemate after a million dead and wounded and losing a quarter of his population.

What is the way forward?

Do you think morons protesting Vance skiing with his family want to get over there and fight for Ukraine?

Do you think European parents want their kids to go fight in Russia?

Nobody wants to fight - but Putin must be stopped.  The US is best placed to do that but instead, Trump's cuddling up to him.  Morally - any free and democratic country has a duty to, jointly with others, stop aggression by one country towards another - if not, it may well be them tomorrow.  Putin is the one who started this - its disgusting how Trump fails to call him out on that.

In 20 years Putin has done what? Taken 20% of Ukraine. They are all Slavs anyway.

The way forward is for the World to tell Putin he is a tyrant that is ruining his own country, and we will continue to support Ukraine in its just cause.

Not do a Trump, the convicted liar and thief who desperately wants to be a dictator like his chums Putin, Xe and Kim.......🤔

Putin forced NATO to abandon it's promises and treaties to expand eastward?

Absolutely the best thing to do is to normalize US-Russia relationships, drop the useless sanctions, and reestablish trade.
The US has no duty at all to be Team America - World Police, as all it does is burn tax-payer money for the benefit of the MIC and "Defense" contractors.  Study history - NATO push itself right against Russia's borders and then use Ukraine as a battering ram.
Ukraine could have signed the Istanbul Peace Agreements it initialed but chose not to at the urging of Boris Johnson.  Unprovoked?  Oft repeated by war-hawks with skin in the game of war.

 "More war! More war! More war!!!"

Here - volunteer if you want war so badly.  Yeah, ya'll are war-mongers as long as someone else is doing the fighting and dying.
3rd assault brigade 2nd foreign legion needs you!

And I'm sure all the trans solders that the evil Hegseth kicked out of our military will all be chomping at the bit to get over there and do their part.

We can send a whole trans battalion with Tim Walz as their commander.

[Snip]

Because the US is overspending? This overspend helps US defense contractors and the US military that can't find billions, or is it trillions, of dollars. Also don't forget the percentages between the countries are not comparable with the US including e.g. military pensions where others don't.

While the spending helps the defense contractors that the left now loves, it still comes out of the pocket of taxpayers.

So what is the way forward?

Why did you say nothing when Obama gave Russia Crimea and refused to arm Ukraine?

Why did you say nothing when Biden canceled Trump's sanctions on Russian, and canceled Trump's arms shipments to Ukraine?

 A plan for peace.

1. After a ceasefire, Ukraine maintains a large and technologically advanced military, trained and supplied by its Western partners.

2. The US and Europe commit to arming Ukraine heavily if Russia invades again.

This commitment is highly credible because the allies are doing that now.

Nato allies could also sign a legally binding document and stockpile specific weapons systems that could be sent quickly to Ukraine in case of a renewed attack.

We should remember, Ukraine’s own forces have protected the country for three years, preserving 80% of Ukrainian territory and forcing Russia into a costly war of attrition.

If those forces remain strong, it would hardly be a foregone conclusion that Putin or his successor will make another attempt – not because the Kremlin can be trusted to keep its word but because it would suffer enormous losses for little gain.

Ukraine, Europe and the US must use their leverage at the negotiating table to get Russia to stop fighting without requiring Ukraine to disarm.

Russia might agree, having kept Ukraine out of Nato, and Nato, and its members’ forces, out of Ukraine.

So, the same as Trump's plan, except that Trump also wants the US to develop mining interests in Ukraine, further deterring Putin.

Ah yes, that's why trump balked at a security guarantee.

Yep, and the sheep here ignore anything pre 2022. The MSM used to report on Azof and call Ukraine corrupt before then too, but now Ukraine is the Darling of the warmongerers.
