Need plumber with a drain "snake".

Featured Replies

Toilet has become clogged and flushing is very slow. Live in a house (dark side of Pattaya) with septic tanks and just had the tanks emptied this morning because of the slow flushing, but it hasn't fixed the problem. The toilet is only a couple of metres away from the tank so it shouldn't be too difficult to clear for a "plumber" or a handyman with the drain snake. Anyone know of one?

You can buy your own at Global House or Homepro. Easy to use and unclogs most drains as long as its within reach of the snake. I recently used mine to unclog the kitchen sink. This is on from Shopee but they're much alike in price..............https://shopee.co.th/product/219552058/27711098806?gads_t_sig=VTJGc2RHVmtYMTlxTFVSVVRrdENkWVp3RFo3Mkw5czd4Z0hzdEF1WVFia0MycmR2cE54dzZvcUVtbk9qV3k5Njdpall1VUdlL3dqeU9qUG11Q3UwaVpDRDFLRTdwZGI3NEpScnNsUjZnSXg0cjhZaFZyRExReXNIMytJTkprd0Y&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8fW9BhC8ARIsACwHqYohjMaWcwUCSZjApbhqvE4Zq_s4I6tobwIM0UgNKAdtCyZRAljLpk0aAh6EEALw_wcB.

I always worry if I'm using something like that for the first time it's going to get caught on a bend or something and end up creating an even bigger problem.

You just start with a little at a time, continuously cranking it. The spring snake doesn't get caught as it flexes on turns, and the pipes are smooth so it goes down very easy. It can save plumber money in the first time. Most clogs are very close to the toilet at the first bend.

I send the Bosch pressure blaster attachment down all the blocked holes when the Mrs. gets tired of using the numerous manual snakes  🤔

They are less than a 100 baht from Lazada so I've ordered one.

That post would read a lot different on one of the other threads.

These guys had the motorized professional snake, opened my clogged kitchen drain with it. I recall they put some 10 meters of the snake into the pipe.

Agree price upfront. Thai friend who referred to me paid 1500, I assumed same so did not agree price upfront, but  after finished they wanted more (not recall for sure if it was 2k or 2500), I assume because farang...

Anyway end result was good.

... And this is another one that opened neighbors drain last year. They came from some industrial area outside Pattaya with couple of days waiting time that's why I did not use them as wanted immediately as could to even use shower. The first crew is in Pattaya, came right away.

Same machine, same performance. Charged 2000
