Go anywhere outside of a big city and you can probably see it.

 

This is where I live. There's a really annoying street light right outside my house on the street but I can still see the some very stars beyond the trees. If I bothered to go out a few minutes I could escape the street lights and should get a good view. I bet it's this way all over rural Thailand.

I was just in Chiang Dao 2 week ago. So much open land there. Light pollution wouldn't be a problem.

I just know that when i go there including the marine base it's often dark
