Not only that but there is a huge institution and government apparatus to prevent this kind of thing. Just like Trump shoots his mouth off saying he's placing sanctions on XYZ country.........then backs down. And he's going to take Canada and Greenland.......then backs down. Going to build a wall and make Mexico pay......then backs down.

He says what his cult followers want to hear then he is pulled back in by - thankfully - sensible people who can tell him what the consequences will actually be.

I also love the fact that @Yellowtail, @Yagoda and the like berate Zelinsky for negotiating in front of the cameras (he wasn't) and say this is poor diplomacy and he's just a failed actor etc,  but they think it's fine for Trump to come out in public press conferences and say he's claiming Greenland, Canada, the Panama Canal, he is placing sanctions on his allies, all without talking to any of those leaders or using, you know, diplomacy that is behind closed doors.
