I want to make things extremely simple for proving non tax residence in any future year and also planning it so I an refer back to my passport.

I know you can apply to immigration to get some kind of report of entry and exit dates but this is my own personal record, scanned and backed up on my local computer and wherever I keep copies of such backups.

I've never filled an 'extra large' passport in all my years traveling so not worried about that.

Very true.

Not only for tax purposes.

All kinds of authorities may want proof of your times in or out of Thailand.

Health insurance, other insurances (you may lose coverage if abroad too long),  banks, ...

My passport is  the only proof I have.

If you're that concerned about it you should save the boarding pass stub from your last outbound flight and keep it with your passport.

Guilty of all 3 I suppose. 😋

I've also been called cretinous  (on this very forum) in the past for continuing to use Windows XP  and refusing to install winblows 10...

my cretinous crustaceous XP install still works,  but browser support is on its last legs..So I have "upgraded" to WIN7  but mostly  use Linux  now.

I also have an ATM card and "smart phone" that doesn't sync my photos, documents and contacts to the cloud, GPS and location is off and it has no banking apps, government apps or Covidiocy apps installed..it is also so ancient that it has (gasp)  a removable battery !!!!!

If maintaining detailed records of your travel history is truly as crucial as you suggest, I assume you already keep your boarding passes etc and a meticulously documented list of your entry and exit dates ??

However, if you don’t engage in such meticulous record-keeping, then perhaps the importance you’re placing on maintaining ‘proof of location’... specifically tracking your times in and out of Thailand, is not as critical as you try to make it appear in the context of this discussion.

Furthermore, many individuals possess multiple passports, which further complicates the notion of a singular travel record. Looking ahead, in the near future, traditional passports may become obsolete, replaced by a fully biometric identification card that will streamline international travel, making physical travel documents redundant in most cases.
