My single entry 90 day Non Im O marriage visa will be expiring at the end of this month. I have a 90 minute drive to the immigration office to apply for a 60 day extension. Can anyone tell me exactly what all I need to bring with me to apply for/get the 60 day extension?

What is the reason you are not applying for the yearly extension based on marriage to a thai?

Do you need extra time for your funds to be seasoned and that's why you're going for the 60-day one-time visit Thai family extension?

Most offices require the same documentation that you would present for a year extension except you do not need the photos or or the bank documents.

TM 30

Lease

Landlord id, House book

Wife ID

Wife House book

Both marriage documents (Kor Ror 2 & 3)

Data page of you passport

Entry stamp

Print out of the PDF file that is the visa

TM 7 application w/passport photo

That is usually what is required at most offices but remember there are over 80 offices in the country and each one marches to the tune of their own drummer.

It would behoove you to have your Thai wife call the immigration office you deal with and ask them the exact requirements at that office for that extension.

Remember you do not want a 60-day extension based on marriage, they will tell you there is no such thing, because there isn't. You want the 60 day extension specifically for visit Thai family,

Really useful, thanks. One question though: Your list includes "Print out of the PDF file that is the visa"

I don't think I have ever had such a thing; I was on one-year non-imm (marriage) for several years and last year switched to retirement (not sure if this constitutes a new visa or just a different extension), but I can't find any PDF ever sent to me. Is this to be downloaded from Immigration?

(Samut Prakan in case that matters)

No it does not constitute a new visa.

You would be changing the basis of what the 12 month extension is based on from based on marriage to based on retirement.

No PDF applicable to your situation

I wondered if it referred to the TM47 notification. Thanks.

One other thing: for this 60-day extension, do they need the same-day update of KorRor maariage cert from the amphoe as they do for a one-year extension?

Here is old thread re 60 extension.

ubonjoe does not even mention Kor Ror for the 60 day extension.

Certainly required for 12 month extension.

Have read some immigration offices accept days old and some request same day.

Tod mentions KR2 and 3, though, hence my question. If only UJ's word was still law across the land!

If there's anything re KRs, I'll report back - now SP's IO is back by the river, the amphoe is only across the car park anyway if they are acting difficult.

Thanks again.
