"I remember in the  in Australia a toddler running away down towards the busy road , a elderly woman sees me she shouts stop the baby !

I shout no way I don't want to get involved ! "   You actually said this, and did nothing? Says a lot about your character.

Were you expecting more? It is understandable why a mother would want her/him/them out of the pool while her kids were there.

Kids with smartphones can spend all day learning about things online, instead of just hanging around the streets doing nothing

Now you are just arguing to be contrary.

have a great day

Anyway I told him if the hypocrites when a very big Scottish lady dominated me in the Pattaya pool a few years ago

Myself and around 2 other farangs who I didn't know were swimming in the pool when her young kids swam too and nearest us.

The very big Scottish lady came over ,"you out now " to all of us

One guy climbed out of the pool ,she looked at me "out ! My kids are swimming here !

"I don't want old men around my kids l !

Yes I said ,then was shocked

Out! Out ! She shouts

Yes madam I said immediately and the other guy got out too

She was a big dominant woman.

Excuse the French

She would have heard some proper French if I had been in the pool, bloody cheek, it would have been get the F out of here, I'm staying put, WTF , unbelievable.

I don't disagree with you. Rather, I am stating the obvious as to why a parent would want  him kept away. The failure to intercede confirms the status of creepy. Therefore, expecting any semblance of decency from the intentionally shocking writer should not surprise.

As a father of many kids and a primary grade teacher, I would have done likewise. She is tarring the vast, vast majority of males with her 'dirty brush of suspicion'.  I'd ask the pool staff to eject her from the premises.

Do kids do this today?! I very much doubt it.

Life.jpg

This is kinda the reality of today.

When I was a kid during the summer vacation my Mom told me after breakfast to go out and 'play' and come back for dinner.

She had no idea where I was yet somehow I managed a fun childhood and that freedom taught me a whole lot about how to be a grown up man

Now on the flip side of this, back in the day of course there was abuse that went unsaid.

Uncle xxxx with wandering hands was to be avoided, but unfortunately he was 'tolerated'

Thankfully those days are gone.

But maybe the pendulum swung a bit too far?

An older man swimming in a pool alongside kids is in general no threat to anyone.

Although you can sorta see the Scottish lady's mindset given the reputation for Thailand, and SE Asia in general for child abuse. Western media hasn't been shy about exposing the likes of Gary Glitter
