What did the German man do? he won't be innocent.

Not sure why Thais always seem to gang up

Doesn't really matter what he did, because it certainly does not justify ganging up on him, but you should never expect a fair fight or reasonable argument.

I'm surprised the scum Thais didn't try the kick to his head when he was down like they normally do.

They did it. You can see it in the video.

Two beaten to death within a few hours, outside the karaoke killing in Bangkok being the other one. Turning into planet of the Apes. Drugs or loss of face I expect will get the blame.

You are able to read, right? Was the German here beaten to death? He stood up and had not much problem. Outside karaoke, we could see the video, and it doesn´t look like enough to kill anybody, if they didn´t strangle him on the ground as that was hard to see. However, 2 beaten to death??? How do you figure?

It is incredible to hear how some foreigners live in Thailand for 30 - 40 years without any incident, whilst some come for less than 30 days and almost get murdered.

Another bunch says Thais hate foreigners... really, where are we?

Absolute nonsense, 30 or 40 years ago Thais  were behaving very differently, and most people living here long term have had their share of experiences, but it has not being reported most of the time, because they all know that it is useless, and little to expect from the law to protect them.

There have been a few incidences of tough farang tourists fighting Thais recently, and those videos get around fast on all the Thai social media and the Thai TV channels, so they may well be more of these terrible assults on foreigners as Thai males are no doubt seething that some farang have been whacking their fellow Thais. To them it matters not who is right or wrong, or if the farangs were acting in self defence, deep down they despise us and welcome any excuse to attack. Considering this savage beating on the German in Pattaya and the death of the Englishman in BKK, all farang males should be extra cautious at the present time.

Where does it say the chap was "pissed up".....and just over two years ago a friend of mine 72 years of age was followed and  shot four times and killed by a Thai man after a road rage incident....the "connected" thai turned himself in after extensive media coverage both here and in the UK and admitted his guilt.....he was sentenced to 4 years in prison reduced to two as he admitted it....99.9999% of Thais are friendly....yeah right.

My wife warned me before my first visit.  Don't do anything to light-off a Rage incident.  Don't Scream, Wave Fists, Anything. ~ Ever ~  You can't predict how the other man will react.  Could be a hot-head or flying on Steamed Yabba and Hong Thong.  She said "Just Walk or Drive Away".

To be fair to them, it must be hard to be a sub-80 IQ man with a tiny member, seeing all these moneyed tourists coming and paying for sex with your ex-girlfriends.

Why ex? Some have nice I phones and new bike because there girlfriend has a farang sponsoring the couple

A German tourist was violently attacked by a group of about ten men on Pattaya Beach Road in Chonburi. Local police in Pattaya swiftly arrested three suspects involved in the assault, which has tarnished the city's reputation as a tourist destination.

The incident occurred around 4:06 am on 25th March, with emergency services and police quickly arriving on the scene following reports of an assault.

The victim, identified as Mr. David Adrian Lelonek, 40, suffered extensive injuries, including facial wounds and a laceration above his left eyebrow. Rescuers promptly provided first aid before rushing him to hospital.

Mr. Lelonek, speaking through a translator, informed the police that he was unsure of the attack's details but recalled being overwhelmed by approximately ten attackers. In a panic, he fled on a motorbike to seek help from locals until authorities arrived.

Eyewitness footage recorded by a bystander showed the severity of the assault, with the gang punching, kicking, and even using a helmet to beat the tourist, despite onlookers' attempts to intervene.

Pattaya's Deputy Investigation Chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Arus Saphanont, quickly led an investigation, resulting in the arrest of three men nearby: Mr. Ta, 18, Mr. Benz, 25, and Mr. Sek, 27.

The suspects admitted to their involvement, claiming they misunderstood the situation as a fellow motorbike taxi driver was involved, and wanted to defend him, even acknowledging their excessive violence.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Arus expressed deep concern over the assault captured in the video, highlighting its damaging impact on Pattaya's image.

He urged locals not to resort to violence, stressing the importance of involving police in such incidents to preserve the city's appeal and economy. The investigation remains ongoing to apprehend the remaining attackers as the injured tourist pursues formal charges, reported Daily News.

My version: the big German dude (most probably drunk) had some dispute with much smaller and older Thai motorbike taxi driver. At some point he pushed or punched the Thai guy. This was a signal for all other Thai bystanders to attack the foreigner.  Would never believe he was attacked for no reason.

You mean like, he started beating up 10 guys, and they only acted in self-defense?

Regardless of what is left out of the story, there is NEVER an excuse for 10 cowards beating up 1 guy.

Correct! Before you even think of fighting one local here, you have to assume that in very short time the odds will get a lot worse for you. Best to wai and walk away, unless you're Jack Reacher.

Thai cowards, 10 against 1......very brave:post-4641-1156694572:

Do you think that attacking a smaller and older guy is brave? One on one is not always fair. Far from it.

What is the real story ?

I'm guessing...   some snide remark from one to anther, a reply... then an issue went from zero to incendiary in seconds with a 10 on one beating...

I've seen it enough times in these area's the 'some of these MC guys are looking for a trigger'...  just waiting sometimes....

A mate was beaten up...   he walked past a group on a corner... he was drunk...    the MC guys if he asked if he wanted an MC... he replied....     "No thanks"....    they shouted back at him something about being a no good foreigner...      he told them to "F-off"... and that was all it took, they set about him....

... His mistake, no just walking past them completely ignoring any attempted 'trigger'....

I've heard similar stories a few times....

Meanwhile...  in other area's these Win-rider guys can be quite helpful and run out and do errands for you...

It just depends where you are - and the guys working in Pattaya and Patong at 4am are not right guys to be having any form of interaction with at all... none-whatsoever...    they are 'hand-grenades on a hair trigger'...

How would you feel in your country if your saw hordes of Thai's comming in and F*****ng  your mum's, sisters or girlfriends for a few dollars or euros ?

congratulation's  ......  you win the most stupid post of the year award so far   !!

it was judged you win because the story is about  10  vs  1  in beating up someone.  Nothing to do with your comment.

The comment is somewhat valid - as in these area's there seems to be an underlying tension and air of resentment that does not exist outside of these area's....

... Its a perfect example of the saying 'familiarity breeds contempt'...  but it I don't think it has anything to do with tourists coming in and who they sh@g.....   it has everything do to with the underlying attitudes sense of entitlement and behavior of both the Thai's and the Foreigners that these area's attract...

...  Its just a melting pot of scummy attitudes thats easily tipped...

You will see this behaviour in any overpopulated countries and non westeners. Because its much easier to stand against an oustider, a foreigner. Than standing for things that really matters. This is one example of why non westerners country will never progress

This is by design and part of what is taught in schools.  It's very easy to control people if you make them extremely nationalistic.  You then have a readymade enemy whenever you need a distraction.  The above incident is the inevitable side-effect of this.
