If my friend was in the wrong, and gets thumped by one guy, then my friend deserved it. I would never jump in, just because he's my friend.

If some random fellow compatriot was in an altercation, I would never just piled in, feet first, with other friends, outnumbering the fight. But that is exactly what I have seen so many times here. The Thais (and Cambodians, Burmese and some other nationalities) will see a fight and just choose their side and pile it, with feet and or weapons.

 

Just like dogs, except dogs know when to stop.

You will see this behaviour in any overpopulated countries and non westeners. Because its much easier to stand against an oustider, a foreigner. Than standing for things that really matters. This is one example of why non westerners country will never progress

Yeah they are a bit sensitive about that stuff I was in a go-go in Phuket a couple of weeks ago and was doing a bank transfer on my phone under the table so there was no way my phone could ever be pointed at the girls as something I would never do, however the manager was pretty fast off the mark to give me a bollocking which p1$5ed me off a bit so put the phone away finished and paid for my drink and exited, the birds in there were nice though 🤣

Never being taught respect for life as a child. Absent or abusive parent(s), and a following of like minded peers. Cowards need numbers, and the only way to stop this is jail for a long time. 10 against 1 is more than the usual, but  someone kicking is a boy who doesn't know how to fight and needs friends to back them up because they would be flattened if it was one on one.

The only place thai man fight 1 to 1 is in Muay Thai ring... other than that it's only wolf pack... 

It's the Thai way  ....10 vs  1   as usual all the low lifes of Thailand.

I'm sure the German did something to start the fight,   but Thai's are dirty fighters,  they hit him with a helmet at one stage.

I think perhaps this is a translation error.  I'm pretty sure they said, "We saw the foreigner daring to argue with a Thai, and knew that he deserved a savage beating and severe injury in response".
