This is wrong in so many ways. Other cultures should assimilate into the new country where they reside or <deleted> off back to the country of origin.

Are the residents of Kiryas Joel good Americans?

Nonsense, America, although officially neutral religiously, is regarded worldwide as a christian country; no doubt yourself, and other extreme left wing, virtue signalling quislings would like to see America as an Islamic country, but fortunately the US now has a President with the courage to flush all your woke ideologies down the gurgler.

You and all those on the left and your support for everything that is detrimental to the safety and welfare of American citizens are history …… you are so, so, yesterday, and a bright future beckons true patriotic Americans, something that you are obviously not.

Whatever the world may think of America's religiosity, what's that got to do with the first Amendment? As for you, if you are, in fact,  an American, you are a traitor to the legacy handed down to Americans by the founding fathers.

Oh, listen to yourself; you are just about the most vehemently anti-American poster on this forum, and there’s some stiff opposition for that particular badge of dishonour.

You have been supporting the Hamas activists at Columbia University, crying like a water-cart about possible deportations, and now you’re supporting the construction of an Insular Islamic city being built in the USA; and insular is exactly what it would be, make no mistake about that.

You support any cause that is detrimental to the safety and welfare of American citizens, and then have the temerity to call someone else a traitor (I’m a UK citizen anyway)

You have allowed all your left wing moralising and virtue signalling to turn you into a traitor; you distill the very essence of “the enemy within” …. utterly shameful

So wanting a city just for Christians is ok, just for Muslims not.

Thanks for the reflexive comments Actually, I haven't even commented on the activists at Columbia or their deportation.  What you clearly don't understand is that the 1st Amendment doesn't exist merely to protect popular opinions and religions from government interference.

Here's an opinion from the ACLU cited in regard to a case of a homophobic pastor and his flock who held a nasty, homophobic demonstration at the funeral of a man murdered because he was gay:

"The First Amendment really was designed to protect a debate at the fringes. You don't need the courts to protect speech that everybody agrees with, because that speech will be tolerated. You need a First Amendment to protect speech that people regard as intolerable or outrageous or offensive — because that is when the majority will wield its power to censor or suppress, and we have a First Amendment to prevent the government from doing that.

Try building a city for Christians in Saudi or Iran then come back to me on that one.

A fine example of integration

Indeed, they are having some public hearing now and the local community are giving their opinions.

“It is totally incongruent with anything we can allow in the state of Texas,” said one commenter.

Others claimed the U.S. and Texas were “built on the gospel of Jesus Christ,” and said members of the Muslim faith should assimilate.

You can prevaricate, obfuscate, and waffle as much as you like, but you are an anti-American quisling; and anyone that has seen your comments on here knows it …. shameful

You can make all sorts of claims about what I said, but  you haven't pointed out specifically where I have prevaricated, obfuscated, or waffled. So unless you can actually come up with specifics, the onus is on you to prove you haven't prevaricated or obfuscated.

Anybody can live in a Hasidic neighborhood and the local Hasid patrols and ambulances will take care of you.  You will will be subject to State and Federal Laws. You can probably even get loads of Saturday work.

Now personally Im not moving to an American city or neighborhood where folks live philosophically in the 14th century, but thats me, great tourist places but.

I appreciate that at least you didn’t deny being an anti-American quisling; although it’s not that denial would have been anything other than disingenuous.

Calling me an anti-American Quizlet would fall under the rubric of obfuscation. And you have done nothing to refute the facts that you have gotten it wrong about my previous stances  on issues andhave repeatedly obfuscated on the issue of the first Amendment. In short your comments are very dishonorable.

Somehow, of all the places in America, I can't see how the Plano, Texas area would attract so many Muslims.

Years ago, I lived in Plano for a few years.  Back then, at least, I'm not sure such a community would be very welcome there.

OKAY, OKAY

I accept the FAIL

Not an excuse, but perhaps too abstruse or recondite.

Consider this for clarification:

Wahhabism – A strict, literalist interpretation of Islam.

Sharia – The broader Islamic legal and moral code.

"Wasabi is sharp, Sherry is smooth—Wahhabi is strict, Sharia is broad.
