No, you're just regurgitating unverified

antiTrump hit piece articles from 'sources' which contradict each other.

So, the US were the only ones giving aid to Burma.

According to your linked article the entire aid operation had to close because aid was paused.

From the aid sent previously, there wasn't enough to cover the 90 day period?

They were running the hospitals on daily handouts?

no other country stepped up to cover that period either?

You're full of it.

Any news that's unwelcome to Trump supporters becomes fake news. Thanks for the lack of evidence.

its a bit naïve to think any aid is given for free. Or 'for the people'

Yeah you wonder how much ends up in their hands.

The elites sure squeal when their spigot dries up. Have to dig into their secret accounts, the horror!

The extreme level of blindness and stinginess has led Trump and Musk to cut back on ALL charity and assistance. Where the US used to maintain the moral high ground by helping out after natural disasters around the world, now they are seen as being totally uninterested, and obsessed with America only. Yet they may be causing the US irreparable harm, long term.

International rescue teams from several countries are on the scene, including from Russia, China, India, the United Arab Emirates and several Southeast Asian countries. The U.S. Embassy said an American team had been sent but hadn’t yet arrived yet in Burma. What a shame. What a missed opportunity to not only do the right thing, but also to prevent China from emerging as the savior of the people. Yikes. Such miscalculation. Such idiocy.

You're just projecting your emotions.

Let someone else lead the charge this time, how many countries send aid to the US for the recent fires, hurricanes or flooding ??... I bet Burma didnt

Anonymous Sources is not proof of anything, put a name to the source then it might have some credibility.

The article I link to did not cite anonymous sources. It's specifically cited the IRC. Maybe you should try reading the article before you comment on it.

Exactly, same as charities, lots of wastage on management, consultants, and salaries for the top people,

Then it won't be hard for you to cite the sources then will it

So sad for the Burmese people. Thoughts and prayers with them. I hope they get whatever assistance they need.

Could be a few reasons that USA have not been seen to be involved in immediate assistance in Myanmar:

1) China and Myanmar (Burma) are next door to each other with a common border so proximaty and access are a big factor. USA is far away.

2) China and Myanmar (Burma) have close relations diplomatically and tradewise

3) USA has sanctions againt the Myanmar (Burma) ruling junta - that will not ease any aid access by Americans

The OP seems like another easy attack on USA.

Good points. All true. A shame that the syndromians choose to ignore these points.

Wrong;  the name of the country is Burma, and the US government are correct to still use the name; the name change to Myanmar was imposed by the illegal military junta when they seized control in 1989.

So, unless you support the occupation of the illegal junta, that has caused the disastrous and ongoing civil war, the name is Burma.

And what was it called before it was colonized! The name Myanmar has a history from long before the illegal junta or the colonialists came on the scene. The name has been around since before the US government was created. The current policy of having a US Embassy in Rangoon , Burma is farcical?

Nonsense, the name Myanmar was first introduced by the military junta when they seized control in 1989; for the previous 103 years the country was known as Burma.

Prior to 1886 the country was known as various kingdoms and empires, with the most prominent being the Pagan Dynasty,  the Taungoo Kingdom, and then the Konbaung Dynasty.

You’re welcome.
