Who cares?! He is a foreign citizen now back in his home country, they can do whatever they want with him. We have no say in their court system, as they have no say in ours.

The US does have a say in El Salvador's court system, they've just paid them 6 million dollars to take foreign prisoners. 

And in this case the government  admitted they wrongfully deported the prisoner. 

If El Salvador won't return him, cancel the contract.
