This video is intended for those of us who are easily misled.

Yes, that is the explanation.

More conspiracy theories are not at all.   They are truths denied by authorities, to stop us becoming intrigued; and then investigating further.

You obviously haven't watched it. You should… but you probably won't. The best you will do is pretend to have watched it by posting 'debunking' bullet points copied from Gemini AI.

I watched some of it.  It's BS.

Thank you for your input, Ted.

The shaky aspect is caused by a huge lens pointed at a distant object.   Have you ever used a super telephoto lens?

The official explanation, provided by space agencies, is that it is caused by atmospheric conditions around the 'planet'.

Plenty of raw amateur footage indicates a body much closer to a luminary than anything else.

It's not even just known projects.

It's rumors of secret projects like "Project Looking Glass" etc ...

The documentary American Moon will answer your question. 'Conspiracy theory', of course.

I have seen it and with no real knowledge of space travel I could tend to agree with the hoax theory but the amount of man power involved,  it seems unlikely this could be kept a secret.

Have to admit some of the videos of men walking on the moon looks fake as hell.

It's a great conspiracy theory.

To fake the Moon landings, 400,000 people across 20,000 contractors

It's assuming it was such a large scale project in the first place.

Maybe "psychic spies from china try to steal your mind's elation and space may be the final frontier but it was made in a hollywood basement .... and Alderaan's not far away it's californication"

That's valid.  I once owned a Canon EF 600mm F4 lens, and when pointed at the sky, you could see the heat waves and such.

I tend to agree.

I don't trust absolute interpretations based on amateur shots of celestial bodies.

But neither do I trust NASA entirely.

So I'll just put it in the "not known" category.

We don't know what we don't know.

Do you really think Russia would accept USA claimed they landed on the moon, if they didn’t? That’s the question, why USA actually landed on the moon, if not Russia is part of the plot.

This guy claims it's because there were food shortages in Russia at the time and the US was exporting massive amounts of wheat to Russia.

A random video is the answer to your question?

The USSR and the USA were locked in a race to the moon.

So what?

It could be BS, admittedly.

But I haven't put that much thought into it.

I don't know.

Yeah, my to do list is so long I will probably never get to it.

One other question: If they landed on the moon, how come they've never been back since? Or send up some cameras and give us a 24/7 live feed or something? Went to the moon, and then we never heard about the moon again for decades. Rather odd and suspicious.

Or maybe they are filming stuff on the moon, but we're just not privy to it.

The lack of funding.   The funding was cut after six missions. The Vietnam War was a drag on the federal budget.

USA was at war

there where nothing to gain from moon expeditions after they reached their goal and completion their mission being the first. Same as reaching the South Pole, it took 47 years for the next expedition to reach the very South Pole after the first race between Amundsen and Scott where only Amundsen expedition came back alive. First station on South Pole was first built in 1956-57

the third expedition over land was in 1958.

First now we have the resources to build a base on moon for further expeditions to mars, because it will be beneficial to do mining, and also move polluting industry in to space. Crazy? Not really

It's a big lifeless rock. After 6 times why would you want to go back.

The USSR and the USA were locked in a race to the moon.

Don't agree with you on that Sir.

The Soviet Union, as it was then referred to, knew it wasn't possible. They had problems even getting a rocket off the ground. Gave up around1966.

No one will be getting to the moon until 2069. And even then, there's no saying they will be able to return.

"Why so many conspiracy theorists and what to do about them"

What to do is create a forum for them to talk all the nonsense they like.

Off the Beaten Track would be a good name for such a forum.

But unfortunately there's a few posters that would like total control over what other people say.

Their need for constant complaining and woke virtue signaling won't allow even that.

https://historicspacecraft.com/Rockets_Russian.html

Molniya rockets were used to launch communication satellites and deep space missions.

"A large number of space probes were launched using this rocket. Although many early missions failed, some spectacular successes were achieved. Luna 9, the first spacecraft to soft-land on the Moon, was launched on a Molniya rocket on 31 January 1966. Luna 10, launched on 31 March 1966, was the first spacecraft to orbit the Moon. Missions to both Mars and Venus were launched on Molniya rockets.'

It is good we have people speaking on behalf of all of us then?

There is plenty of examples, and the very same trying to silence 🤐 everyone who have different experiences and goals in life with the same monotonous answers, labeling, behaviour and negative emotions.

What do you really expecting when someone disagree with you?

I expect them to be polite, on topic, and refrain from personal attacks and stalking on other threads.

I think we all guilty when it comes to lack of politeness and self awareness. One content lead to something else and more of the same.

Many times being attacked out of the blue for nothing, and I'm not better than other following up the very same back.

But fighting ghosts is a bit tougher than fighting a old nicks like yourself.

Not to forget the tactics of ghosts is to pet someone's back in one, for then place an attack in next.

Clever, but by time obvious

This forum is for entertainment, tell as many as you like.

But you probably shouldn't stalk posters from thread to thread, or forum to forum, only a complete nutter would do that!
