More good news but obviously need to wait for official announcements

The White House is due to hold a news conference at 10:00 a.m. ET (3 p.m. London time) on Thursday in the Oval Office.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday: “The agreement with the United Kingdom is a full and comprehensive one.”

We'll see exactly what the bill entails. In the meantime, there's this:

EU to launch dispute against U.S. tariffs as it sets out 95 billion euros in countermeasures

The European Union’s executive arm on Thursday said it would launch a dispute with the World Trade Organization over the U.S.’s “reciprocal” tariff policy and duties on cars and car parts.

The European Commission also said it had launched a public consultation on a broad list of U.S. imports to be potentially subject to countermeasures, if a trade deal is not reached with Washington. The list covers U.S. imports worth 95 billion euros ($107.4 billion) across a range of industrial and agricultural products.

Seeing as the UK took 3 years for a full trade deal with India recently announced, whatever they've just knocked up with the Americans ain't going to be 'full and comprehensive'  - possibly full of something

“Some automakers are now localizing production of EV platforms they’ve already poured billions into — creating a reshuffling of global supply chains that aligns with White House goals, even if not with its messaging”.

Credit where Credit is due!

The Trump effect !
Maga

Make America great again and Capitalism too!

Despite the leftist dream of divestment

from Manufacturing in America!

From your link!

"For years, automakers have been throwing billions into US assembly plants, but mostly for electric powertrain production.

BMW has invested $1.7 billion in US production, Ford $11.2 billion, GM $9 billion, and Toyota $13.9 billion – all to build battery-electric, plug-in hybrid, or mild hybrid vehicles.

This means each company's newly-minted factories will pump out millions of battery-powered cars to American shoppers."

Say thank you to Biden! 🤣

It's positive news? Like when Foxconn promised to build a huge manufacturing complex in Wisconsin during Trump's first term?   It's positive if and when it turns out to be real. In the meantime, it's just speculative. And, if, as most economists expect, the US economy is going to take a hit from Trump's tariffs, he won't be negotiating from a position of strength in a year's time.

The old folks must be happy: Donald Trump plans may see pensioners face '20 percent fall in income'

AOC. Run her. Great news for the Republican Party. Harris. Run her. Great news for the Republican Party but bad news for everyone that would have to put up with this cackling idiot again. Newsom. Sure. The woke leopard that wants you to believe he's changed his spots. Good news for the Republican Party. Sanders. An old socialist. We've seen what moving to the radical progressive woke left did to the Democratic Party at the election. Sure. Run him. Great news for the Republican Party.
