Trump Only Picks the “Best People”? Pull the Other One, Mates, It’s Got Bells On

So I’m sittin’ there in Nev's Caff, halfway through me bangers and mash, little bit of brown sauce on the side, when this geezer in red MAGA cap, autographed by the big man himself, made in China tag still hangin’ off the back, leans over like he’s about to drop gospel and a loaf all at once and goes, “Trump only works with the best people, bruv.” I nearly snorted me tea out me nose then choked on a bit of me mash, didn’t I.

I go, “The best people, yeah? Alright then, let’s take a little trip through Trump’s personal clown car, shall we?”

First up, Bobby Kennedy Jr. Now the Health Secretary, right? And what’s his big opening act? Gets up in front of Congress and says, “People shouldn’t take medical advice from me.” Lovely stuff. That’s like walkin’ into a chippy and the bloke behind the counter whispers, “I wouldn’t eat this if I were you.” And this is while there’s a measles outbreak stormin’ through the schools like a pissed-off ghost.

Then you’ve got Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for Defense Secretary, always half leathered and more like Secretary of Risk to National Security. Lad manages to leak classified intel by roping a journo into a secret group chat like it’s some school reunion on WhatsApp. You couldn’t make it up. Greatest threat ever to global peace and stability. Even the pigeons outside the Pentagon are more discreet.

Next on the parade float: Pam Bondi, Trump’s AG. Ethics? Never met her. Back in the day, she gets a cheeky $25k from Trump’s so-called charity, right when she’s thinkin’ about takin’ him to court over Trump Uni. Surprise surprise, the case magically vanishes. Fast forward to now, and she’s rubber-stampin’ a $400 million luxury jet from the Qatari royal family as a “gift” for Donnie, like she’s workin’ customer service for Air Corruption.

And then we’ve got Kash Patel, who’s been granted immunity just so he’ll spill his guts about Trump hoarding classified docs like a Cold War hoarder. And what’s the big man’s response? Considers givin’ him the top job at the bloody FBI. That’s not drainin’ the swamp, that’s bringin’ it indoors and lettin’ it redecorate.

Now brace yourself for Kristi Noem, who thinks “Homeland Security” means posin’ with a shotgun and writin’ bedtime stories about shootin’ her own dog. Tosses in a make-believe meetin’ with Kim Jong-un into her book for good measure. And now she’s been banned from tribal land in her own state. Banned. Like she’s an off-brand perfume at Duty Free. Leadership? More like Livin’ La Vida Looney.

So I turns back to Mr. MAGA and go, “If that’s your idea of the best, I dread to think what your worst looks like. Probably someone who wipes their arse with the Constitution and then asks for seconds.”

Bloke didn’t say a word after that. Just stared down into his cuppa like he was tryin’ to read the future in the PG Tips.

Trump’s “best people”? Mate, it’s like someone’s emptied a skip outside Broadmoor and called it a cabinet. Misfits, grifters, and liars all queuin’ up for their go on the gold-plated bog's griftin' carousel.

Jesus, the amount of effort you guys are putting into this is mind-boggling considering no one is paying you for this.

Same as you 2 above. When someone gives me the thumbs-down, I think of this from The Sting (1973): Johnny Hooker: I gave him the breakout just like you said. Henry Gondorff: And? Johnny Hooker

And then there is Ms. Karoline Leavitt:

“I think it’s frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit,” Leavitt argued. “He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service, not just once but twice.”

In response to a question about the meme coin controversy, Trump’s chief spokesperson added that the president “is abiding by all conflict of interest laws” and “has been incredibly transparent with his own personal financial obligations.”

Same as you 2 above.

When someone gives me the thumbs-down, I think of this from The Sting (1973):

Johnny Hooker: I gave him the breakout just like you said.
Henry Gondorff: And?
Johnny Hooker: 'S good. He threatened to kill me.
Henry Gondorff: Hell, kid, they don't do that, you know you're not getting to 'em.

Thank you for your report.

The question would be better to ask:

Did Trump pick the best?

And then subsequently:

Why he picks these people?

Obviously both questions are related to each other.

Indeed, he picks the best people! But only for him these are the best. For his ego.

He picked them because he wants to shine. And how easy it is when you're surrounded by less intelligent (is this really possible?) by grafters, arse-and bootlickers. They give him the impression (!) to be the historically greatest President of America. Ever.

And AG Pam Bondi from the April 30 cabinet meeting:

Mr. President, your first 100 days has far exceeded that of any other presidency in this country ever, ever. Never seen anything like it. Thank you. Your directive to me was very simple, make America safe. And despite that, we've still been defending over 200 civil lawsuits filed against you on top of everything else.

I think I'm representing every one of you in this room in some capacity. [Laughter] And no, you will not be arrested by the US Marshals. [Laughter] Over 200 lawsuits, over 50 injunctions, and now we've got multiple cases in front of the Supreme Court and we will succeed and we are doing great in front of the Supreme Court, President, and we'll continue on with that.

Probably best to be safe and go with they/them.

Same goes for BLMFem.

Poor Magaman reactions to this poster are so amusing, almost as funny as the posts themselves.

So Lewie boy,

Where did you get the inspiration for your username?

Sounds awfully suspiciously similar to another poster from Liverpool's username.

Eh, Mate?

Maybe he lives in the states and they call him that because of his strange accent. But it would take a brain to figure that one out, so you're excused.

Just imagine though someone tried to copy your name by matching another word starting with "F" to go with frogs. Oh, the possibilities...

An oddly well groomed and wealthy bunch of half baked MAGA nuts. Trump actually could sound somewhat lucid compared to this bunch. Robert Kennedy? Bondi? Hegseth, just about 4 or 5min of hearing anyone of them speak is enough to expose their gross ignorance and scare the bejessus out of anyone with any kind of higher education and basic common sense. Ferkin' scary bunch if you ask me.

We'll I'll tell you, these clowns will burn down the house and piss on the ashes in a little while and when they do the MAGA nuts will be eating some serious crow.

Put that in your Signal chat and hit send !!!

I can tell you really struggled to try and put together some form of semi-intelligible response. You failed miserably, but good for you, at least you tried. Pleased at least you were smart enough to use a dictionary or it would have been all 3 word sentences from you as usual. Bravo.

Sorry, I'm just posting nonsense.

But your character assassinations are getting tiresome.

Who do you expect to be elected? Angels? Saints? It doesn't exist.

"Pull the Other One, Mates, It’s Got Bells On"

Is an old phrase from 1950s England.

Doesn't take much to make fun of the whole MAGA charade, Trump put's his foot in his mouth on a daily basis and his merry band of co-dependents just magnify the situation. It's ferkin' scary but the irony is so thick you could paste together Trumps butt cheeks after he processes 3 McDonalds Extra Value Meals with it.

Ok, you know what?

Clearly, you guys got a lot of anger you need to get off your chest.

So I'll back off and leave you alone.

Oh, no, definitely don't stop. Your rubbish is definitely high level verbal excrement. It usually takes someone like Susan to be able to even come close to matching your level for frogs sakes.

Trump only picks from the bottom of the barrel. Was there a single choice in this entire administration that was a solid and wise pick? It is all about fealty, and merit is not a consideration.

Just look at Hesgeth, Habbard, Patel, and Bessent. They are dreadful. A real embarrassment. Empty suits.

I think cabinet meetings in North Korea are even worse wrt sphincter slurping, but I would in no way be surprised if I was proven wrong. I can't Imagine any sane person sitting through that cabinet meeting and not fantasizing about projectile vomiting straight into Bondi's face.

This is what the US of A has turned into. Sad, so sad.

-- Karoline Leavitt gets brutally mocked for ‘Carla Hayden inappropriate books’ remark

White House Press Secy Karoline Leavitt responded to a reporter's question, justifying the reasons for the firing of Carla Hayden.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has made a claim that Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden used to put "inappropriate books in the library for children."

Critics pointed out that the Library of Congress isn’t meant for kids, and readers must be at least 16, and books can’t be borrowed freely. Author Jack Pitney joked on social media that Leavitt seemed unaware of these rules.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem struggles to define habeas corpus at Senate hearing
"Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country," Noem said. “That’s incorrect,” a Democratic senator responded.

Updated May 21, 2025

"I want to clarify your position," Hassan asked. "What is habeas corpus?"

"Well, habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country, and suspend their right to ... ," Noem responded before she was cut off by Hassan.

"That's incorrect," the senator said. <SKIP>

Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., later asked Noem if she knew what article of the Constitution the clause is in.

"No, I do not, sir," she said. Kim said it was in Article One, which outlines the powers of Congress, not the president.

Trouble at t' mill. Eh up, these boys of Trump just can't get along.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent repeatedly shouted “F*** you!” at Elon Musk during a nasty West Wing brawl that unfolded within earshot of President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, according to a report.

The escalating verbal dispute through the West Wing began because Musk had attempted to select Gary Shapley to lead the IRS – without first getting Bessent’s approval.

In response to his profanity-laced outburst, Musk began to taunt Bessent, calling him a "Soros agent" and accusing him of having run "a failed hedge fund.”

Bessent shouted profanities at a goading Elon Musk in West Wing after Trump told warring pair to ‘have at it’
