5kw Solar Deye with 300Ah battery

Featured Replies

Hello, seeking advice on solars, i assume this is 1 of the best deal?

Purpose is to reduce the monthly cost plus blast the AC during the day.

Got quoted for a 5kw package specs below at 209k baht

Deye Hybrid Inverter Sun-5K-SG04LP1-EU-SM2

Battery LVTOPSUN LVTS 512300-G3

JASOLAR N - Type Bifacial double glass mono module JAM72D42 LB 625Wp x9pcs

+etc stuff required

Warranty

12years warranty on panel material, 30 years of something, maybe performance?

10 years inverter

5 Years installation

7 Years battery

Deye 5k 20kbht

Lvtopsun battery 50kbht

600w panels 2kbht each = 18kbht

Total 88kbht

So 121kbht for bits and installation (2 days work).

It's a company called unicorn solar energy.

Kunini took quite a bit of time to reply email, once a day.

While i did approach A Solar, but they wouldnt quote me without having site survey.

Others with above specs are slightly more exp 10-30k same specs, however their installation warranty only 2 years.,

Small world 🌎,  I will be at Khu Bon Road Friday.

I might have a better option for you, but let me confirm later.

No rush, right?

Well, haven't really receive confirmation for site survey since got quoted. Was expecting a confirmation somewhere this week if they are coming to survey next week.

Wanna install and run for a month smoothly before leaving for NZ trip in July.

How about this?

JKR is very professional and the owner is living at Dusit Grand Park near you.

They just visited yesterday, tentatively installation on 29th, strong wind / rain daily at the moment.
Kinda like 5 years warranty on installation and once a year cleaning.

Good choice.  JKR is also doing my install.

Please share some pictures when you are up and running.

Will do, waiting for them to confirm since initially storm was passing by.

A plus for me is that this company accepts credit cards, enabling me to collect points to exchange air miles.

Congratulations.

Can we see what is inside the electric cabinet?

Size of battery?

How come it is a Topsun and not JKR's own battery?

So far so good. Just lack of sunlight due to daily rain/cloudy but still quite nice.

The installer did asked me if i want to feed it back to grid to reverse the meter, i said nope dont want to have issues, doesnt matter if found not found. Don't give a reason to begin with.

Looks like you have sat your battery DOD to 35% and hit that around midnight.

Any reason you don't want to go lower?

Couldnt find the right settings for it, when i go at "time of use" in work mode, lowest was 34%.

I think the BMS/battery % need configure something which links to "time of use".

Will probably text the installer to configure it on my behalf. Ideally wanted to have lowest maybe 25% and shut off at 20%? What do you recommend?

Charge from grid at 49v, return to battery at 52v.

You probably don't have a need to use your inverter as an UPS, so you can safely go to 20% DOD every night.

wait installer set for me remotely. Since all under warranty for 5 years best not to touch anything. Give no reason ya know. haha

Update another 3 days data.

By the way, yesterday found the settings for battery. As of now shutdown 20% , low battery 25%. with this then i can set usage down to 25%

Look like you have sized your system well, even with the sun 🌞 not at its best.

Your night time usage of around 0.5 kW is one small AC running?

What are you doing for hot water?

No AC during night if not too hot. Usually will on 2 AC 8-11pm or 12am then switch to fan.
What hot water are you referring to?
