It’s being attempted via the Supreme Court.

 

His appeal to the SCOTUS regarding birthright citizenship is a direct challenge to give a President the power to override explicit clauses within the Constitution.

 

The SCOTUS has already ruled he can’t be prosecuted for criminal acts if conducted as part of his Presidential duties.  
 

If he is then permitted to ignore the Constitution his power is beyond the control of the judiciary or Congress.

The big legal question on immigration is whether as in the March 15 exec order there was an 'invasion' as invoked and required in the 1789 Act "by a foreign nation or government."

The above quote was from the JAN 20 Exec Order.
