Popular Post Frankie baby Posted yesterday at 07:40 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 07:40 AM Can't be an official visit, no red carpet, and no thrashing out import & export tariffs or the usual bilateral communications exercise. So, it's just the shopping then. 3
LittleBear57 Posted yesterday at 07:41 AM Posted yesterday at 07:41 AM Any chance of her signing the legislation that the UK government hides behind to stop pensioners here receiving their cost of living increases. Thought not. Not interested then. 1

No nominees required for his purchase. And be out of the country if the impossible happens with Yingluck found guilty of the rice scheme on may 22 and has to cough up 35 billion. 1

Upnotover Posted yesterday at 11:08 AM Posted yesterday at 11:08 AM Why do the media still say things like "Thai PM jets to...." It's like they are stuck in the 1960's or something. Everyone here came on a plane but nobody ever said they "jetted" here. Weird. 1 1

I am curious her choices as to why she feels she can do a better job at promoting tourism when there is a whole ministry in the government to do this. I also question her choices of locations. Monaco? really? It is the smallest country in the world with only 38,000 people living there. She could get the whole country to come visit Thailand and it would not make a dent in tourism income.. That's the Media for you.
impulse Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM Good for her. In the UK, she'll aim for the lower end. And in Monaco, she'll go for the upper end of the tourist spending spectrum. One private jet with 3 or 4 pax probably has the same spending knock-on as an A320 full of normal tourists. And I'm sure she'll be hobnobbing with a lot of the private jet crowd at F1. She's probably got good seats and a pit pass. 1

AustinRacing Posted yesterday at 02:03 PM Posted yesterday at 02:03 PM It’s easy to fool the populace with such comments and plans. Yeah right meet F1 management at the most expensive and prestigious round. She could’ve met them in Singapore or other close to home events. There are more pressing issues facing her people than hosting an F1 event which will cost them more than they’ll earn from it not to mention it’s way out of reach for even middle class Thais let alone the average Thai. 1
trainman34014 Posted yesterday at 02:10 PM Posted yesterday at 02:10 PM This is a trip to meet Auntie Yingluck in London, bit of shopping and then both off to Monaco to meet Boss. All at the Thai Taxpayers expense. All in the best possible taste of course ! 1
jesimps Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM She'll be promoting Thailand's soft power to the UK's soft in the head PM. 1
Maybole Posted yesterday at 04:22 PM Posted yesterday at 04:22 PM Is it a prime opportunity for the Army?
spidermike007 Posted yesterday at 04:32 PM Posted yesterday at 04:32 PM A chance to sample the 1996 Leroy Echezeaux, and the 1982 Château Lafite. How could she pass that up? 1
still kicking Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM So, she is checking out the casino in Monaco? 2

Will those restaurant owners than tell their customers to travel to Thailand to get some more grub, at a cheaper price but lower quality. Hope she does not, a lot of them serve up very inferior food. New one in Melton Mowbray, went last month, could only eat a bit of it. Worst Thai food I had in over 30 years, disgusting. 1

ujayujay Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago As usual: Thai industry is at rock bottom and the government can't think of anything cheaper than promoting tourism.....what could possibly go wrong?
Sydebolle Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Yet another populistic school excursion by the primi-inter-pares. Might result in another study trip of 300 - 400 government experts back to Monaco to study casino operations and yeah, it remains questionable, if the Brits will settle for Somtam, Turian and Fishsauce of the smellier kind 😉
