Premchai Karnasuta, a key figure embroiled in the controversial state audit office construction collapse case, has been hospitalised following respiratory complications and the exacerbation of longstanding ailments.

 

At 71, Premchai, alongside 14 other defendants, was remanded in custody at the Special Bangkok Prison after the Criminal Court denied their bail request.

 

Given his advanced age and complex health issues, prison authorities deemed it necessary to transfer him to the Correctional Hospital for immediate medical attention.

 

His hospitalisation underscores the challenges faced by older inmates with serious health concerns.

Probably already there and having the neck brace fitted now, although it needed a dramatic modification to fit his not too slender neck.

I doubt he lives up to his name, which is almost the same as a book we all read when we were kids.

He has a good example...nobody will or can do something now.. Probably he will get high bloodpressure too

He needs a Shin Brand penthouse suite at the famous remand hospital. 

Surely the solution to corruption and law 'n order in Thailand is for the legal & enforcement people to accept the bribes from the rich criminals, and then enforce the laws anyway.

 

That would produce a satisfactory outcome all round.

He was seriously ill last time he was in court. Proves that panther penis soup isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Well, I hear that the Thaksin Suite is vacant. Let's wait what happens here, Dr Chaijudh Karnasuta - his father - might not have been amused but he's long gone.
