Source of reasonable Ivermectin drug?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

I am looking high and low for some reasonably priced Ivermetin drug in any form. Preferably for humans, but may have to go to animal form (except for the pills from Red China for animals sold on Lazada).

The prices I have found are insane. The cheapest I have found is about 1200 baht for six measly 3 mg pills. Though in most places and sources it cost quite a bit more than that.

I have also looked for the horse de-wormer application in the 6 gram tubes, but cannot even find those.

SO, anybody know where I can get reasonably priced Ivermectin please?

It is legal to buy OTC without a script BTW.

This just does not make a lotta sense because that drug is said to be very cheap to make, and plus the fact most all drugs are sold cheaper here in Thailand.

THANK YOU!!

Y.?

In 2021 I bought Iver 6 in a pharmacy OTC.

12 tablets 6mg for 1200 thb.

I only took two .

The kicker is that it has an exp date.

So it is more of an insurance .

Not bad , 1200 B to get through 4 years of the covid war.

I was quoted this from local pharmacy

Thanks but nothing to do with Covid. I need many many pills or doses. That is why the pricing is an issue. Thank you for your info.

Well, IF it truly was 60 mg tablets, then I could use them, but I think you are talking about 6 mg tablets, correct? Thank you for checking.

As written, so assuming, 60 mg tabs.  6 mg would be really expensive.

Thank you!

Try the hospital pharmacy

Well, that is a thought, but I has very consistently found hospital pharmacies to be the most expensive source for drugs in Thailand. Plus other posters often say the same thing at various forums.

Thank you.

Cheapest pharmacies are those in the vicinity of hospitals (eg around Victory Monument and Siriraj). Pet shops also should have a much cheaper version of the medicine, maybe 4 mg per tab x10. The 60mg quoted by a pharmacy above will be a typo and probably refers to the whole pack.

Amphur Muang, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and they have to order it, not something they stock.   That price was Nov 2024.

You want Ivermectin but your willing to take the veterinary form. What????????

Very good. Hate to keep bothering you, but can you tell me more about the name, or location, or village name, or telephone number Please?  Enough info to find it on Google Maps would be most helpful.

THANK YOU!

I have tried 3 pet shops and a couple animal hospitals around here in Ban Chang with no luck so far.

Oh yes.......come to think of it you are most likely correct regarding the 60 mg total package contents. The largest pill I have ever heard of is a 12 mg pill.

I will check with a pharmacy or three the next time I am near a large hospital.

Thanks for the info and tips!

What is it for then ?

Human cancer treatment. So far the human-specific drug I have found is way too expensive being I need to take 18 mg every days that I do take it. Would take it 4 days on and 3 days off for a couple months anyway.

Any evidence it works?

If I cannot find the human form that is affordable, then yes I would be willing to take the animal form . Except for the Red China imported stuff. I don't trust them for purity of any kind.

India and Thailand-made pills are here, but way too costly.

I have tried to find the horse de-worming gel tubes that are so prevalent in the USA and super easy to buy, but I cannot find them.

High-end Pet shop or Animal hospital: Brand names: Advocat or Revolution. Advocat is 500 baht for 2 sachets: 8 drops per sachet. Revolution is similarly priced. I use it for my rabbits: 1 drop per kg between the shoulders once a month - removes ear mites and other associated parasites.

Assuming this isn't a wind up thread, that’s really concerning! I understand that cancer treatments can be expensive and difficult to access, but Ivermectin isn’t the answer. It’s not a treatment for cancer, its used to treat parasitic infections in both humans and animals, and taking it for something else could actually be more dangerous than not doing so. It can cause serious side effects, especially if taken in high doses or for an extended period of time.

A LOTTA anecdotal evidence on the net discussing where it really helped a lotta folks........even some stage 4 folks. Plus a bit of medical studies regarding lab results and some small number of humans.

Several forums on Facebook that offer up a lotta info and results, but ya gotta take things there with a grain of salt of course. Some truth, some half-truths, some distortions, and some lies kinda thing.

It's a medium sized tumor in my prostate that has not spread as yet.

Also says take Menbendazole or Fenbendazole in combination with the IVM, but that drug is affordable and easily obtainable and made here in Thailand.

I am drinking a couple cups of Soursop leaf tea everyday too.........along with eating the healthiest I can and taking some supplements.

Recently had double-knee replacement in BKK. That wiped out my medical funds. Tack on more money for about 6 months of physical therapy I had.

My urologist here wants 100,000K baht ($3 grand) for a biopsy just to start the process. Then move on to whatever they say is the best treatment for me. All of the treatments are very costly.

I had a MRI done. It was $500. That is OK. But $3 grand for a biopsy and then onto $10 grand to $40 grand for the subsequent treatments is a bit much for me.

I can keep a pretty good eye on monitoring it via the PSA blood test while I taking the IVM and MENBEN, etc.

I'm curious also. A couple of years ago we got some from here: Bang Pakok Drug Store

I don't recall the price. It was so-so in quality. The best Ivermectin we've ever used was from a compounding pharmacy in California. Since then, it's all been noticeably weak or perhaps even adulterated.

But the Bang Pakok stuff wasn't all bad. I was having a hard time getting over the air pollution this year and it did help with my lung congestion.
