(Fishing for the armchair warriors) There are at least 3 reasons why Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022: 1. With that clown Zelenskyy and those fools running the eu and NATO making it public knowledge that Ukraine would be accepted in both the eu and NATO, and them expecting Putin just to sit by saying "Yes, that will be all fine and dandy"? 2. Putin saw how easy it was to annex Crimea back in 2014 while Obama & co. did nothing. 3. Putin witnessing the debacle of Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal back in August 2021 obviously was a big encouragement in his decision to invade Ukraine.

  • Perhaps you are right but obviously neither is Trump.   Trump has failed to end the war and has, arguably, damaged Ukraine with his personal attacks on Zelensky and his lukewarm attitude tow

  • No, but we can agree that Trump is full of s*** as usual.

Yes, bad leadership all around.

They don't have any solutions, only to attack trump.

At least Trump has actively tried, which is more than any previous US president has done with regards to ending a war

the EU warmongers don't want it to end, they don't care about those dying, they are the ones now backing the Zman to continue the already lost war.

Zelensky is out of term, he is not president anymore.

You think the fools have a PLAN? After 11 years they have done nothing but sit on their arse. The EUSSR is still buying oil and gas from Russia.

Can we agree Trump was using it as per point 3) ?

Try though you do to make MAGA an insult with your cute magaman, it literally means to make America great again. Not possible to use as an insult, unlike the anagrams that send the afflicted scurrying to the report button.😅

Dude a day is day no matter what alternative reality Magaman lives in. Also he claimed again and again he would stop the war even before his inauguration. This happened yet?

This has been done to death but I guess the anti-Trump thing going on in your head makes you feel the need to start yet another anti-Trump thread. As for not making a millimetre of progress how would you compare this to Sleepy Joe's administration. That admin wanted the continuation of the war. As for the "European thing" in reality this is a proxy war being fought to denigrate Russian military capability and it's economy to benefit the EU. This is not happening. The frontline on the battlefield is still moving in Russia's favour. I'd like anyone to show me this isn't the case. Again I say, as I have had to many times to the brainless on here, that this is simply a fact. Russia is winning this war of protracted attrition.

But what about Biden. He did not make false claims now did he.

At least he has actually done something, its the EU prolonging and escalating the situation now, Zelenskey is just an illegitimate puppet since this time last year.

I remember previous presidents campaing on closing Guantanamo... still open, bumet you weren't holding them to thair words though were you.

Applying real sanctions against Russia. The west say they apply sanctions, but then it violates the intent by doing special financial deals.

Firstly, the idea of starting “yet another” anti-Trump thread seems to imply there’s nothing left to say on the topic. However, the discussion about Trump’s presidency, including his policies and their impact on the world stage, is still very much relevant. Dismissing criticism as simply “anti-Trump” rhetoric is overly simplistic.

Secondly, it’s debatable whether Sleepy Joe’s administration wanted to continue the war. While it’s true that Biden has been a strong supporter of Ukraine, it’s difficult to suggest he actively wanted the war to continue—in fact, there’s evidence that his administration has been working to facilitate negotiations.

Thirdly, calling the war in Ukraine a “proxy war” ignores the fact that Ukraine is fighting for its independence and territorial integrity.

Russia has made some territorial gains, but it’s not clear they’re winning. First, Russian forces have suffered heavy losses in terms of personnel and equipment, which is not the hallmark of a successful military campaign.

Your language is pretty divisive too. Dismissing people who disagree with YOU as “brainless” is both inaccurate and unproductive. It’s a common tactic used to create an “us vs. them” mentality, which is exactly what Putin wants. Putin’s goal is to present Russia as powerful, and its enemies as weak, stupid, and morally bankrupt. That’s why he’s invested so much in propaganda. The more people repeat and believe his narrative, the easier it is for him to maintain control.

So when someone says “Russia is winning,” and calls everyone else brainless for questioning it, they’re doing Putin’s job for him. How much is Putin paying you if you don't mind me asking?

Sanctions are easily bypassed, the sanctions on Russian gas has only effected Germanys  economy and the EU citizens with 3x higher energy bills due to US LNG .

Sanctions are also the reason for BRICS.

The UK, France are now prolonging this war by propping up the puppet Z. You lot really should wake up to this fact, and that you have been lied to since the beginnng.

How many more failures can Magaman accept?

You sound pleased.  Do you want him to fail and for America, possibly the world, to be worse off?  That seems like a odd stance to take.

Biden & blinken refused to meet Putin for any talks, Clinton said  inbthe beginning that the war should be dragged out as long as possible to destroy Russias economy.

You're all doing the job for the western propaganda machine, how many time were you told Russia was done, they'd lost, banckrupted etc etc... yet that's totally  contradicted when saying Putin is going to invade the EU.

When this went down in Feb. 2022, I was communicating with a (then) friend of 20+ years, expressing the exact same views that I expressed above; however as the war went on, I changed my mind and actually went along with the herd's view. Glad to say, that I have swung full circle and my view is set in concrete, so read it and weep armchair warriors.

For the latter, its a combination of the Biden administration's handling of that pull out, plus the previous administration's habit of directly negotiating with terrorists, and leaving out the legitimate Afghan government out of discussions. The Saigon debacle happened under Ford, and he shared blame, but the reasons were due to a previous President embracing a criminal regime.

If Putin was a normal, non-criminal leader, he would have viewed Ukraine joining the EU as an economic opportunity, a good news event for the Russian federation, leading to facilitation of greatly increased trading with the EU and the wider world. But you are right, Putin views sovereignty as a threat to Russia.

Yes, Russia found it all too easy to seize Crima, but using this as a reason to excuse Russia is a bit like blaming the rape victim for walking home from the pub. You are right, that Russia is a country with a small dick. Look how they shrivelled at Pristina Airport when faced with a guitar waving young Blues and Royal officer in his little Scorpion tank, when he said "No".

Chamberlain greenlighted Herr Hitler into invading Poland because of the reaction to Czechoslovakia, but in the end, the blame for WW2 lies with Hitler and his gang.

Chamberlain's defence was he wasn't trusting of the Germans, and was buying time. Halfas was genuinely trusting of the Germans, so Obama veers more towards a Halifax position.

Everyone seems to think history started in 2014, in terms of the root of this conflict. Not so. You can go back to 2000, when Putin came to power, and relations with Georgi became frosty, but even before then, when the Politburo in Moscow deliberately encouraged and funded counter-nationalist movements, as they saw Communist power slip away. Its true that those diehards viewed the West with disdain and are contemptuous of democracy, in the same way Hitler was.

So Obama's inaction in 2014 confirmed to Putin what he saw from President Bush in 2008, over Georgia, where he allowed the Russian Army to seize US property without a protest. Putin is incapable of civilised behaviour. He is an anti-democrat, so he has no understanding or empatthy with Western liberal democracies. He is so imbided with Bolshevik brainwashing, he sees everything as a threat to the Party, even though the Party has long gone.

A normal national leader would not see a country joining the EU as some sort of existensial threat. A normal leader sees that as an economic opportunity.

Russia is a country with a small penis that easily shrivels. eg. Pristina Airport.

Western leaders have made mistakes, but the fault has always been with Putin, and his geopolitical illiteracy. To blame the West for the War is to blame the young girl who was gang raped for walking home, or the young boy abused by a pedophile for joining the Scouts.

Hitler caused WW2. Putin caused WW3.

That's the trouble you think its "weakness', the supposed most powerful country on the planet shouldnt be worried about looking weak because they know they are not.

A boxer or muay Thai fighter will generally deescalate a confrontation with the average Joe outside the ring.

Negotiations could be done but Trump doesn't control the EU pussies, and Theybare pumping the illegitimate Zman up,  their citizens don't want the war,  the spinless politicians are happy to send men to die, I see mention of conscription..Id like to see stamer try and force British men to fight a war they dont want and is nothing to do with them, and could have been negotiated.

Looking forward to when Putin is no longer among us. Then there will be at least a chance of a regime change in Russia. Of course, there is always the chance of a civil war. If that happens and everything falls apart over there the West must act quick and put the (former) country under administration for the foreseeable future, like what was done with Germany after WW2.

We can't have warlords with nukes.
