No he killed himself due to depression. The other woman can do what she likes. He doesnt own her.

Thats something the media is coming to terms with. The truth always comes out, for those who are paying attention. Once the trust in the media is lost it cant be gotten back

He killed himself over a woman. 

There can be no doubt now, Argento's cheating was a direct cause of Bourdain's suicide. He found the photos of her with Hugo Clement just before his death. He had a long, very long, drawn out text exchange with Agento where he was pleading with her to respect their relationship. She told him she was ending their relationship. He killed himself.

 

This is Goethe's Werther come to life. A man killed himself out of excessive love.

Well, the fact he killed himself because of a woman seems to show some form of mental illness.  At least mental weakness/depression.  It also seems a very selfish act to commit suicide.  Very sad and wasteful.

Also, she looks kind of disgusting seen better on Beach Road.

I loved Bourdain and followed all of his career and I miss his content as well. Yes he did a lot of hard drugs when he was younger. Anyway, it makes sense that a man so passionate about food was also passionate about love. But I can't help thinking it would have been more poetic if he had offed himself over a tuna casserole. 

 

The other tragic irony is that for so many food and travel lovers his job was the best of all possible jobs in the world. We easily understand why gutter dwellers who have nothing to live for end it all, but it's really something when someone who seems to have it all and more does.

Bourdain was never diagnosed with any serious mental illness. Like many in the culinary profession he suffered from depression, overwork, exhaustion and substance abuse.

 

Looking at Argento, she seems like a rock bottom skank and it is inconceivable that a man like Bourdain should take his precious life over a cheap slut like Argento. But he did. He loved her. For some reason.

In his shows he talked quite often about his dark sides and moods. I saw that as just being a normal exceptionally intelligent person talking openly about what it feels like to be human.

Well, Argento certainly pushed this narrative heavily that Bourdain suffered from mental illness. It was easy to do because in his book Bourdain had spoken about a "black hole" he would be in occasionally. In an episode on Argentina he talked about how he could have depression lasting for days. So at most one can say he was susceptible to depression, something everyone experiences but he was more susceptible to it.

 

However, Bourdain was not really mentall ill, he was never diagnosed with a serious mental illness and was never in prolongued treatment for mental disorders. Indeed, at the time of his death he was working, surrounded by friends, who attested that he seemed extremely normal, following arguments with Argento.

 

We do know now though, that before his death, immediately before his death, he was texting with Argento about her photos kissing and hugging another man, with whom she had sex in a hotel which Bourdain and Argento enjoyed together. 

 

Bourdain wrote sensitive and deeply emotional texts to Argento who replied like a street dog, and ended the relationship.

 

Bourdain had poured his heart into the relationship. He even took stereoids to build his body because Argento was much younger and into combat sports. 

 

One cannot fathom how Bourdain could be so hung up on such a street dog, to be honest. She accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct with her, but then it came out that Argento herself had slept with a 17 year old boy.

 

Bourdain paid off the 17 year old from his own pocket to protect Argento. But no matter what Bourdain did for Argento, she not only cheated on him, but called him"possessive" when Bourdain dared complain about her promiscuity, and ended the relationship.

 

In this instance, cheating, literally killed, it led to death. That's how serious cheating can be.

He was totally justified in doing so, since Argento was having sex with other men FIRST. Being the skank that she is. He did it in self-defence to hurt Argento in his mind, after their last argument he looked up prostitutes. I am convinced to spite her.

My theory is OJ killed his wife because she stepped out on the marriage.

 

Because I remember listening to some tapes and he was fuming that she was giving some guy a bj in the mansion that he probably paid for ,,, with the kids in the house.

 

Obviously, I have no proof. It's just a theory.

 

But as a man, you also need to subjugate your ego and move on. Some women will betray you, even if you invest heavily in them financially and emotionally for many years. 

 

But you need to work on your ego. If it happens, you walk away. Violence toward the woman or suicide are all due to inability to resolve your own issues. You need to take the high ground, even when other people around you are not acting in integrity. This applies to work, business dealings, friendships ... 

 

And find another one or move to Pattaya.

Argento in all seriousness wrote that she was the victim, when she cheated on Bourdain with another man. But she was the victim. I mean...words fail one.

I think you are spot on.

 

The thing is when a woman betrays you, it brings forth a tsunami of anger. In Bourdain's case, unfortunately that anger was directed at himself. He no doubt saw Argento for what she really was, an idiot, fornicating, disloyal street dog, and it was a total shock to his system. When I think about it, I do feel sorry for Bourdain.

 

But you're absolutely right, you always have to take the high ground. That is the way to handle it. You should not lose yourself.

We should bring back a bit of Old Testament. The jews had it right on cheating.

 

At the very least not so long ago a woman who cheats would face the opprobium, the censure and rejection of society at large. A while back ... 

 

This girl at work started leading me on, flirting in the office. It was subtle, but it took place repeatedly over many months. 

 

After a while, I realized she didn't want to do anything and she was just messing with me. And I also started noticing that she was doing it with at least a couple of other guys in the office. 

 

Problem is some women can "cast a spell on you" when they have charms and looks up the wazoo and you're trapped in the same office with them day in and day out for months on end. The sexual vibes they give off start to affect you.

 

So I finally cracked. One day I lost it. And by lost it, I mean I wrote her a nasty letter. And she went running to HR with my letter.

 

I got called into HR. I didn't get fired, but I quit not long after.
