May 29, 2025May 29 Popular Post Just been in that supermarket whos position is favourite among Buddahs, to buy beer for the weekend. Here's what I found! The cashier was flummoxed as to why I presented 12 individual cans at the checkout.
May 29, 2025May 29 Alcohol is actually cheaper in the united states if youd believe it. Sorry to everyone for the bad news

Sorry to everyone for the bad news Some might be, but Heineken 20 OZ (620 ml), is $3.79 (124 baht) in the US and $1.98 (65 baht). I checked because I like Heineken. For wine you would have to check individual bottle foud here with the US price for comparison, but I haven't bought any wine living here, only drink occasionally anyway.

And an answer to an off topic reply. Just for interest, where is your beloved Heineken in the two countries actually made?

I answered hotsun. Heineken is made mainly in the Netherlands, but also in the US, UK, Thailand and a half dozen other countries.

Mind you, if I mentioned Old Peculiar, Hobgoblin, Oiddle in the Hole (Dorset), Shnoodlepip, Very Big Moose, Polly Don't Take No Mess or Punk IPA, you would be asking me the same question. I am sure there are many independent breweries in USA with weird sounding beers. Here we go, off topic again. 555

Check to bulk price against individual unit price. 45 per can bulk / 41 per can individual. A 48 THB savings to put them in a basket and check them out individually.

I'll change it for you. "Yeah, but then I would have to endure all the Americans, of which I have little experience besides watching Youtube videos and occasional political news. But like some Brits, we still are fighting the Revolutionary War." There.

Generally speaking Americans are quite nice, much more positive and upbeat than our grumpy former masters in the UK. I know a lot of you claim to dislike Americans but I;m guessing that is largely theoretical. Disliking Americans from your dark lair without ever meeting any. As an American myself I know it is possible for others to dislike me, just not very probable as I am so charming, likable, .... what was the other thing?... oh yeah humble.

Once a topic is started it is generally speaking open to wind its way through the labyrinth of user responses, You have birthed a discussion that goes where it will. Possibly the most "off topic" response is to continually grouse that responses are off topic.

I'm really into wine, but have had some really good beer. I tried a couple craft beers before I moved here and was impressed. I like a Guinness Stout probably most of all, but haven't tried many of the new craft beers so that's on the agenda when we return to the US.
