As long you have somewhere to live you do not pay mortgage on, not taxed to high, it is possible to live cheap in the west. It is taxation and mortage that kills most people, and the electric prices at the moment do not help.

That's the good thing about Thailand, you really do mot spend much to be good and manage to save some every month, as long you do have some income above 40k -60k taking care of a family. All depending on you own or rent of course.

I just been to Gordon's a few weeks ago Icon Siam, and it was a rip off for their premium aged stakes. Also tried the best restaurant The Grill Room yesterday at Korat, better than Gordon's for half of the price, but still
