Why do so many posters continually diss other posters?

So you only secure about one thing in your life and even that is not about you but about others.

This is probably one of the most asinine comments I've ever got. Well done. The competition is strong.

Great comment. Up to your usual level. I missed your puerile comments and obligatory emojis. Where have you been? Looking for mind perhaps? Seems you didn't find it.

A Fight Club section with 500+ posts should be created. Total free for all.

Some have 500 posts in 10 years, while some few others in 20 days 😉

Even less if two or more active accounts

Well no, I haven't been anywhere, been reading every day and been very amused, and again you post nothing on topic but put downs, yes amusing. Just thought I would let you know.

Now back on topic chap, and put that narcistic stuff behind you....😉

Mostly it's people projecting their own problems onto others or trying to compensate for their own shortcomings, trying to make themselves feel superior by putting others down.  There's a lot of "rage therapy" to be had online.

For some reason, Thailand attracts oddballs, and they just love to take any opportunity they can to show that they're "more Thai than you" or the one "good farang" around.  being in Thailand seems to bring out a lot of insecurities in some.

What I find very interesting is how so many people appear to be wealthy and successful, yet still carry around so much resentment and prejudice.  It's really a wonder that with all their success they're still lacking in so many areas and still want to lash out at others.

Quite right.

In addition there are obviously a lot of farangs living on dole related money, meaning living a precarious life. In this situation you're looking for people who are even more moneyless.

Also it's a matter of their former life. What they learned? A matter of education. Primary school, High School, university, doctorate.

Apparently it's not easy for those with a lower "standard" to have a happy life. They didn't achieve much in their life.

But here on An anonymously they can play to be a superior, a role they never played in real life.

If......and this is meant for the Admins, there would be a change in "judgements", it would be more peaceful.

So, not only "thumb down", but connected to the user's name on AN.

I see this in the forums all the time .........

Posters looking down on guys living in Pattaya, elderly, guys living on a pension, living in a rented condo, supporting a woman and her family, men spending time in bars, or smoking weed/tobacco, etc.

Why not just enjoy your own life and stop looking for fault or judging other people?

If people don't have the ability (no money, no partner, no housing..) how you can enjoy a life like outcasts or leftovers?

I don't think I've ever heard him pontificating on fine wine, foodie restaurants, museums or any other pretentious elitist nonsense.

Don't think you have much of that in Cambodia.

Why are you dissing people who talk about that?

That should be a separate thread.

Why are there so many posters making dubious claims on here?

You make a good point, money definitely does not by happiness, it does allow us to address our problems, and it allows us more freedom, but it most definitely does not buy contentment or fulfillment. It is up to us to figure that out and money is only a small piece of that puzzle.

Doesn't buy you happiness but you don't have to worry about paying your bills.

Agree entirely, and it's the thing I don't like about this forum, and it stops me from posting, as many times I make a post or type out a reply, then just delete it because I think...why bother, someone is just going to come right back at me, twist my words to use against me, and I can do without the agro.

I do the same, and with some, I think, what is the point? They will just start name-calling and drop the whole subject that was being discussed.

Funny you post this cuz you are the first one to laugh and judge the guys who don't pay to be touched.

Especially if their wife is full blooded Chinese with MBA

How about looking down on those who use an agent to get their annual extension?

Asking for a friend.

No need to look down. Posting your opinion that it´s not the right way to go, is not looking down. 🙂

it is the domino effect. you poop on me, next time i will poop on you. getting shat on by strangers/keyboard warriors isnt fun for anyone and very often one's opinion gets twisted... i think this is the main cause

There are a couple of Usual Suspects on AN that mistook you for an elitist snob what with your use of proper English and complete sentences.   OOoops ... I have to rescind that opinion ... you used "there" instead of "their"

Hang on from now on mow  I will consult the  old Dictionary from now on for perfect English Speakers my God.

I used to be a regular poster a few years ago but it got to a point where every thread was hijacked by the Trump supporters vs Biden and of course Hilary. It became toxic. Every thread turned into the yanks and there politics so I stepped back. Some cannot or simply not accept facts then it becomes toxic with the usual suspects throwing in personal insults because they wont accept the truth or facts.

Agree, they want to push their Narrative without any facts and it's pretty laughable because it's the same members doing it "Over and Over!"   LOL

So on the Pattaya thing.

Well it is a cesspit, I'm sure if you live there there you can avoid the seedy parts.

But as a tourist it's hard to avoid. We went 20 odd years ago, I'm with my wife and teenage son and yet still I'm seen as fresh meat

My  son was I think 12 or 13 at the time difficult trying to explain what exactly was going on

So you haven't been there in 20 years and think you know what Pattaya is like now??

I'm sure it's now a shining paragon of virtue, not a hooker in sight!

Somehow I think not!

And @Harrisfan seems like a decent enough bloke, but hasn't been posting long enough for me to form any solid view.

Yeah, but you need to look at all the previous names the same user used. Susanlea, dolf, etc. So many I can't remember them. I guess there's a lifetime ban and he/sh/it reinvents itself.
