The Air Tag on Shopee actually shows a picture of a cat with one on its collar.

AirTags only works if there is an iPhone within Bluetooth range. Not very useful in the jungle.

Apparently this MiLi Mi Duo works with IOS and Android. Will tell you later in the week.

Yes, you are right, Normal Bluetooth only reaches about 10 metres, 5.0 can go 240 metres in clear air, 5.4 up to 243.ooh, 3 more.

WTF are you on about. Someone suggested this MiLi Duo Tage and I AIed it and posted the result, trying to be helpful.

get one of these. runs on AIS network without having to put a SIM inside, already has its own internal SIM. 600 baht per year annual fee. Just register it at AIS, and use their Android / iOS app

It did work, but the thought of it contacting me through other people's Android, or iPhones did not sit correctly with me.

No. Does it matter where your own phone is? It uses other people's phones to send the location of the tracker to Apple or Google, who then send that information to your phone.

WOW!  Can you please follow my advice, and throw away 99 baht and be very pleased with the results???

 

If you're using it for your bike tracking, I see your 99 baht "investment" lasting you at least 4-6 months!!!  No further "hidden" charges!!!

 

There is NO other comparable value for internet connection available in Thailand, as already mentioned many times!!!!

 

Google GOMO Thailand and get a local to sign up, you will get a card within days at your doorstep.

 

Further advice for other readers who may want to consider GOMO, you get to CHOOSE your phone number, for FREE!  (And there are some great numbers available!) 

 

Further, even the 99 baht one year package comes with free 10GB super speed (100 MBPS+) internet, and also some free phone calls to any carrier in Thailand. 

 

Further, you can use this same sim for many asean countries!!!

 

AMAZING, yes, but sadly, only available to locals to sign up, but you are free to use it after your GF/Wife registers it!!!

If only using as a tracker so I only 'call' it if it's stolen or not returned if it's rented out to someone who doesn't return it presumably 10GB or 25GB at 199 Baht would easily last a year if only called once or twice?
