    Charmless. Get lost.

If you really want to help her out, you will slog to the immigration office she uses and get the hand out listing the specific requirements at that office (as there are 80+offices in the country)

Never the less, I will post the general list of requirements once I get back to my PC.

Is this get firsts yearly extension?

Or she's on an extension already and this is a subsequent year?

How did she meet proof of funds last year?

Which immigration office?

Chom Chum Surin, very straight office, friendly and quiet.

She has been doing extensions for decades but is recently widowed so I try to do my best. The funds are in her bank account. Just a normal bank account.

Wow that's up in the middle of Nakhon Nowhere 😮
She'll need copies of

  • Data page of her passport
  • most recent entry stamp to thailand
  • current extension
  • TM30
  • lease/land lord i/d (maybe the house book listing)
  • hand drawn map

A filled out TM7 <-application for extension, w/passport size photo

You go to her bank and get;

  • - standard bank letter (usually allowed within 7 days of when you're applying)
  • - 1 year detail transaction report from the bank (to show she followed the seasoning requirements for the extension she's on)
  • - updated bank book (needs to be updated the day she applies for the extension)

Those things and 1900baht should get her a new yearly extension based on "retirement"

CW refers to main immigration office Bangkok.

I provided reports from that office of extension reports.

The second link the OP posted helpful check list Link.

If you are serious about helping her then read the threads I provided.

as an aside people that ask a simple question on here, that have an attitude to a poster helping them are in class of their own

Wow, you certainly have an attitude big time, don't you😠?

Clearly you are not doing annual extensions.

From your OP...

"What do I do again?

A TM8 is for reentry permit. So after 10 years you are not aware of that.

For extension she requires TM7.

And yes that requires a photo.

She would require re bank book or possibly 12 month bank statement to show financial compliance for previous 12 months.

Hand drawn map (stated by Tod) is required at some offices.

Also TM30 depends on immigration office.

As for my posts applying to CW the threads in this forum are for general info for everyone.

Well, he did say 'thanks'. The extra part though, recalls one Col. Jessup.

"I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way."

Clearly I am, I just got the numbers of the forms wrong. Why did you say Chom Chung is the wrong office?

I actually stated...

"Not the correct immigration office however CW report here"

Meaning that I could find no reports from the office you mentioned.

Offices have their individual quirks.

The next best thing was to provide threads of gold standard office ie CW.

Those threads have detailed lists similar to Tods post.

BTW: CW is Chaengwattana immigration office.

Chong Chom is a border immigration point between Thailand and Cambodia.  You can get a visa to enter Cambodia there but not much else.

Kap Cheong is the immigration office near there but a few kilometres drive. Another immigration office is in Surin.

Good luck getting any extension at Chong Chom.

Unless they now do it at the market.

Actually the way I understand it and I live a few Km away, its the other way round. Anyway they have a brand new office (3 years old) with a very good crew. No long waiting periods. Extensions I do (retirement on income) takes 1/2 hour in and out.

But yáll know better as per usual.

This is Chat GTP:

Summary:

  • Kap Choeng = the district.

  • Chong Chum = the specific village and checkpoint within Kap Choeng, right on the Cambodian border.

So if you’re hearing both names in the context of a border crossing or temple visit, they’re connected—Chong Chum is in Kap Choeng.

Ok. No worries. Good luck.

Don't believe everything AI tells you.

Please people! Kap Choeng is the border crossing. The place where you go into Cambodia for cheap booze and the casino. This is NOT, I repeat NOT Surin Immigration ! Yeez just google Surin Immigration and you see the map. 1 office on the way to Tops and the shopping mall and the other in Chom Chung.

Strange google earth says it different then google maps, now my confusion is at top level.

It's reasonable to assume that many people call it that, because that's what it says on the entry stamp you get there.

Others call it the Chong Chom / O'Smach border crossing after the border towns on both sides.

Nothing wrong with either, but it can certainly cause confusion.
