Misplaced Passport.

Featured Replies

Hi there, I live between my house in Bangkok and my condo in Pattaya. I need to do a 90 days report by 01 July but I"ve misplaced my passport. I'm in Pattaya now so I must have misplaced my passport at my Bangkok house. Can I do a 90 days report using the passport and visa data on my laminated copy? If not can this report be done online? Thanks.

My opinion only.

If you go to do the report in person, you will need your passport.

Yes, you can do online 90 day reports. I have been doing them online for that office for years.

Do not leave until the last days before the deadline. They've been requiring earlier reporting for online. There is no late grace period for online reporting. There is always the chance that your online report will be rejected and then they will tell you to go in person. In your case without your passport, that would be bad.

Do the online from 15 days before, if a problem you can go and find your passport. I do day 14 usually

Yeah they like online reports quite early. That fairly recently changed. I'm not sure what the exact parameters are now though.

Currently online window is 2 weeks prior to due date till one week prior

So basically only 7 days open.

As suggested do it early as possible.

OP if you have photocopies of your pp including last entry stamp you could do it via Mail.

For mail post 15 days prior to due date.

At Jomtien or Chaengwattana?

As I'm in Pattaya it will be Jomtiem.  I've already made an application to make my 90 days report online. I'm going back to my home in Bangkok tomorrow to see if I can find my passport. The irony is when in Pattaya I always leave my passport in my condos safe because a laminated cop is accepted there. That's why I'm almost sure I've left it in my Bangkok home as I'm not sure if laminated copies are accepted in Bangkok. My registered address is my condo in Pattaya.

I arrived at my house in Nong Chok Bangkok at 9.00 am this morning. I then swung into action and looked everywhere I may have put my passport along with 3 Thai bank books. Her indoors found it where I didn't even look. Without playing the Thai blame game I thanked her and left it at that. We've been married for 25 years and she has a habit of picking up things that aren't hers and never putting things back to where she found them. Anyway I'm so relieved as a replacement Aussie visa is around 5,500 baht and all the bull<deleted> notifying the police and the Australian Immigration Department in Bangkok. So thanks all for your constructive replies, it was very much appreciated.
