Featured Replies

Ordered oil filter for a 2016 Suzuki ciaz and got a sm-ofj009.it says for Corolla, camry, celica. Can i use it on a Suzuki ciaz or better not?

Personally wouldn’t do it, stick with OEM concerning critical vehicle components such as oil filters. With that being said, if it’s the exact same dimensions as the original then you can try it and be sure to check for leaks.

Lots of them do. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Google should tell you if they do. I would NOT trust the part number. Though you could just measure them. So long as the threads and seal mate up, you're good to go. Even if the body is longer or shorter, doesn't matter if it will fit.

use genuine... not some 3rd party crap.

It is not just measuring size that matters. What is the filter made of inside? What is its flow rate? Only use genuine filters.

OEM auto manufacturers generally do not make filters, they typically have them made by the same companies that make aftermarket filters. It's the same with wiper blades, radiator caps, seats, batteries, glass, electronics, etc.
