Cannot access iHerb.com

Featured Replies

I have had this problem for a week now.

It claims hackers are trying to get access to my personal info ...

Is anyone else having this problem? How to solve this? I need to get a VPN ?

Definitely something going on.

No vpn - forwarded to th.iHerb.com which gives the result you display.

VPN - goes right in.

You are getting the same problem without a VPN and it works with a VPN?

So it's hackers?

Do you have 3BB internet?

I had problems to access iHerb too.

With a Thai(!) VPN it worked.

I then changed DNS network settings on the PC to Google DNS and successfully ordered some stuff.

Your error message comes from Brave browser.

As much as Iike it, for such purposes I use Chrome.

iHerb also has the annoying feature of redirecting to th.iHerb.com whatever link you use. Maybe Brave interferes?

Just tried it on the mobile (AIS) with Brave and it works OK. Redirects to

th .iherb com.

I bet on DNS problem.

I doubt hacking.

I'm not using a VPN and I get right through to https://www.iherb.com/
Give that a try.

Agreed.  Try different browsers.  I keep Firefox, Brave, and Chromium on my system.  Each gets around different problems I've experienced from time to time.

Not sure what browser you use.  If using Firefox, go to Settings/Privacy & Security/in Cookies and & Site Data click on Manage Data.  Search for "iherb" then select and remove all instances.  Also check for th.iherb.com.  There will be a secondary window where you'll confirm you want to remove them.  That gets rid of the cookies.  Then retry.  I also agree with KhunBENQ.  Set your DNS to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8).  If you don't know how, let me know your operating system and I'll try to provide instructions. Or use an AI like Grok or ChatGPT and ask it for instructions.  When you switch to a VPN, you are 1) geo-locating to the US, and 2) probably using the VPN's DNS.

One other trick to try.  Use a private window (or incognito in Brave) and try that.

Ok, will try a different browser.

But I wonder if it's because my credit card info was stored on Brave from my last purchase and the same thing will happen if I make a purchase with Chrome the next time I try.

Wonder if I need to clear the cache or clear sth in the browser that stores credit card info ie autofill or sth?

There must be a setting that tells the browser not to store the credit card info. I will look into that.

Thanks for suggestions.

save the frogs  Give this a quick try  ☝️

Access iHerb products via Lazada.

I get it.  This isn't you.  It's an iHerb problem.  Here's the problem.  The certificate hostname is incorrect.  That would cause the error you're seeing.  What you need to do is get around the redirect from www.iherb.com to th.iherb.com.  Go to my previous posts and try clearing cookies and resetting the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 - or - just use a VPN.

THIS: Hostname does not match.  iHerb's hosting service needs to fix that.

That will get you your error.  If the certificate isn't good, you'll never get a secure SSL (https) connection.

You can, but you'll more often than not pay a significant premium.

This is getting weird.

Don't know how DNS works ... if I change it, will it affect sth else later?

I don't have Chrome.

I tried with Tor Browser. I got on the iherb.com site, but it's now blocking me. Probably a lot of hackers using bots are using Tor Browser and iHerb has built-in blocks.

I could probably use my phone instead, right ??

Should try that and ditch the laptop access maybe.

Tried downloading a new browser called Midori

FYI ... some of you may be interested since you did mention it was a DNS problem

So Midori browser is confirming it's a DNS issue.

So I clicked Try Again and it redirects me to th.iherb.com

Seems like every browser handles things differently, so you need multiple browsers

Thanks to all for responses.

I couldn't access the site either.

I'm also having this problem. I've tried 3 different browsers, cannot access either the Thai iherb or the U.S site. Is it possible for someone who CAN access them to contact them and tell them that lots of people are unable to use their site. It's very bad for their business and customer retention.

I tried to use this site, but it's terrible. There is no search function so you have to manually scroll through every page to try to find what you're looking for (and I couldn't find the products I want). I tried to use their contact form, but that doesn't work either. I tried to email them and the email bounced back. What IS it with Thai websites? They generally have a terrible user interface.

Check one of my previous posts.

I downloaded a browser called Midori and it gave me an error warning regarding DNS and gave me 2 options - change the DNS or enter the site. I clicked enter and I got in.

You may want to play around with the DNS, but I didn't because I don't know enough about how it works.

Update:

I am tracking my package and I just saw the following message:

So perhaps if we all download the App on our phone and use the App, we will not have this problem of accessing the web site:

  • 2 weeks later...

Contacted iHerb and found out the problem was 3BB denying access. Don't know how they could block a legitimate and large business like iHerb as they are a private company.  Suggested iHerb legal department contact authorities here in Thailand and file a complaint.  Must be more to the story but still have to use a VPN to access iherb.com but hopefully they will rectify this soon.

Currently I can access iHerb without problems from 3BB.

As described I had changed my DNS settings.

Using Chrome. Had same issue.
Used VPN@thailand

Go to iherb.com >auto fwd> th.iherb.com
Signed in again, it works...

Switched off VPN.

th.iherb.com Working now

  • 3 weeks later...

Have tried many times to access iherb over 2 days - given up and buying elsewhere now.

If they cannot get their website to work when their competitors do, then it is not my problem to solve.

Go back and look at some of the posts in this thread.

Solutions have been found to get around the bug.

I will try to send iHerb a message about this.
