If you are 75 and your partner is 50 I don't think anyone cares. As long as you are both friendly and sociable.

  • Again, nobody cares about it but you.

I'm just jealous of your hot wife you brag about eating out every morning before breakfast.

A lot of foreign men in Thailand are drawn to small, dark-skinned, ethnic-looking Thai women with round faces and flat noses who often resemble ethnic traits seen in Cambodians, Filipinas, or Laotians. However, locals in Thailand are usually unimpressed by these choices, as they often view these women as coming from the peasant class and don’t share the same sense of attraction that many foreigners have.

When these women travel overseas to Europe or the US, they frequently struggle to gain acceptance there as well. Their darker skin tone, appearance and small stature can lead many Westerners to associate them with housekeepers or low-paid laborers rather than seeing them as glamorous or desirable partners.

Of course, everyone is free to love who they choose, and what others think shouldn’t matter. But many foreigners mistakenly believe that taking their dark-skinned Thai partners abroad will provoke envy in restaurants or public places, when in reality, the unspoken reaction is often quite the opposite.

poor dude

People mostly don't care .

They might gossip behind your back about some stuff, certain % of people love to gossip everywhere Thais no exception,  I speak thai and hear it all the time.

But farang-thai age gap marriage by itself is common and not that interesting, unless you're both sleeping around or something.

Bigger question is whether farang generally are "accepted" or not?  most people are fine with your, nice people are nice, bad people are unfriendly.   But genuine acceptance into the community?  Not sure? Not enough experience.

I'm 48, wife 27 from the outskirts of a smaller city. Never had a problem in plenty of time I've spent up there, but wouldn't want to live there permanently myself.

It takes a couple of years of being here to adjust one's self to LOS, including driving.

The locals, similar stuff, they do seem to look at us as aliens, though they do seem to also think we are 'all' special. Of course, there are some farangies that are AH's, which at times I have had to point out.

I have never known a Thai bird reject a farangy, it takes them time to find out the hard way...😬

All of my farangy friends have been with their ladies for probably a minimum of 15 years and up..:clap2:

Now, I wouldn't like to live anywhere else.......🤩

Yeah, that all makes sense.

I've lived here for few years too, just not into the Thai small town life so much, but I see the appeal to some.   The few Thais I know well tend to be a bit westernised, well-educated or have done their education abroad. It's easier to relate.  Wife is great no complaints.

But not sure I could get a sense of community and acceptance like I had in my small town UK life before, because of being a foreigner here, but who knows.  Not enough experience to tell right.

You are not alone as Yellow tail is always angry with everyone it replies to who do not bow down and agree with it!

Accepted? Sure. There are always sugar daddies somewhere. And if they're not feel embarrassed....so what? They wouldn't see that people laugh about them.

And these little darlings wouldn't feel how embarrassing it is with these fat-bellied, old, wrinkled, bald monsters. 🙏

No, if they are being taken care of, no........🤔

I think you have a lot to learn about Thai folk..........🤗

Sure, these old farts - almost leftovers, kicked outs, outcasts - will find a poor girl - often half age of their daughters -  who saw a way out of poverty, caring for her family.

In simple words: HE bought HER. It's life time prostitution. HE pays.

Even true, you and a few other fellows sure got it on yours mind, reminding yourself renting is the same as marriage 🤣

Poor fellas,

Poor fellas,

Are you one of the poor girls or one of those poor lads?

Neither of them, but you are free to believe what you want! Your life your illusion, your own owned reality!

So who is poor or not ? That's the question. If it was not for my ife, I would never lived in Thailand, and I can assure you, I would never ever be single in Thailand, or any other place in the world.

We met 15 years ago - now I'm 81 and she's 64. It wasn't a problem then and it sure isn't now.

It's the 60 pluses with the twenties "girls" that raise eyebrows (and probably a few other things too).

My Thai partner and I have travelled extensively in Europe and USA and never had any issues except one time in Spain we encountered an "up market" Thai family and she got "brushed off" when just trying to speak with them.

Yep and ironically he blasted liberals for doing just the same thing.  Weird dude with anger issues.  I agree with many of his posts politically but a few times I have disagreed and the ensuing temper tantrum was hilarious.

Why not single? It has its benefits.    I was really satisfied with life while single but seem to eventually find myself in love and eventually living with one woman.  In many cases I would have been better off single 🙂  It's funny how we seem to be programed to hookup with one woman and most relationships aren't really that happy.  How many friends have you had that endlessly speak of the benefits of being single and are now in relationships ( mostly bad -555).

Now that is a little too far.  You are a disgusting angry man.  Moderators please delete above post.  I never thought I would ask for someone to be banned but do we really want such a nasty individual posting.   I have never stated what he claims or anything remotely close.  I don't know how a permanent ban isn't justified.  How infantile and nasty of a post.

Oh, sorry, I thought this was you:

Sorry, not buying it.  You need to chill. You are acting erratic and I'm really trying to empathize with all the angry rants of yours.  Just try to be a little better of a person.  I'm over it now 🙂

Trying to "empathize" by asking the mods to kick me off the board permanently? that sounded a bit angry to me, albeit understandably.

Some truth to that and some of the younger crowd here dating women that are so out of there league back home is funny to watch.  The same ones that probably post about fat old men dating hotties.
